I was seen by this dentist and also had a family member seen. I did not have the best experience but I chose not to leave a review about my experience because I understand 1 situation is not a reflection of the entire operation. I made the appointment and was told $150 for exam, cleaning, and X-ray. Only for a cleaning to not be done and told it was a miscommunication when I contacted them. I explained it was not a miscommunication otherwise I would have gone else where because this place of business was chosen in hopes to give another shot and support. I asked how this can be remedied and was told I could come back and spend more money. The amount is not the issue it’s the fact I felt taken advantage of because I was under the impression a cleaning was included. I asked if I could be partially refunded or if I could have the complementary cleaning done for my family member. Initially I was told no to both. Then told “find me a company that will do it cheaper and I will honor” when I mentioned said company I was met with ” that’s fraudulent because they cannot tell you if a cleaning can be done for a fact”. I mentioned I’d leave a review about the experience in its entirety. Shortly later, I was called back saying they would honor the cleaning… Not sure who in their right minds would accept this back handed offer to safe face when now the dentist is disgruntle as a result of the conversation. A review was not leveraged, it would have been left good or bad experience. I’d also like to mention there is only 1 dentist at this practice. I will not be returning and after the second opportunity.. unfortunately I will never recommend them to anyone else.
I was a patient here a few days ago. I’ve never written a review, but I have to… My appt was for 2pm. I came in and got X-rays taken by the friendly woman at the front desk. I think she is working at the front desk doing X-rays, etc. Dr. Sam waIks in around 15 min later. He came in, looked at my X-Rays and told me to “lean back.” No introduction, no hello my name is, NO nothing. Just Lean Back. I said um who are you, even tho I see the white coat, I still want some type of respect as your patient. I then said I didn’t like how you came in and didn’t speak. He sat me up and said ” nevermind” and walked out. patient abandonment. He came in like “OMG another patient” almost like he was ready to go at 2pm. I shouldn’t have to say I’m a nurse and I have know bedside care, even if it’s a dental chair. Dr. Sam was dressed like he had just woken up and didn’t have a care in the world to be presentable to his patients.. I felt he wouldn’t treat patients like that or look unprofessional in a more respectable area like Orland Park, etc. I felt unwanted, as if he was over the day. I really needed to see a dentist, and that was the complete opposite. I don’t recommend you or your family. Go where you respect and want, not just for a check in a doctor’s eyes. I feel like his let his EGO get infront of what’s important; Patient Care.
not the best dentist office in South Holland. I came to get a cleaning and cavities filled, but the deep cleaning still left my gums bleeding for an additional year and I was told to use peroxide which did nothing. I recently visited a new dentist, and it hadn’t looked like I ever had a deep cleaning to them and they were able to stop the bleeding. Dr Sam did not fill all my cavities either like the X-ray showed. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. Very out of date office and equipment. Also, they didn’t inform me that they would be closed for my last 6 month check up, so I rushed there for no reason. No one ever followed up to reschedule or left a message. My Tooth Docs in South Holland is a much better option
