During my first visit to Smile Center of Huntsville, I discovered that I would need a root canal and crown. After specifically asking to make sure their office would be open on the Friday before Veteran’s Day, I scheduled my root canal. A few days before this appointment, they called to let me know that they would be closed that day and I needed to reschedule. Because of my work schedule and having to change plans on such short notice, I had to reschedule my appointment for the first Friday in December. The office staff informed me that they were originally supposed to be closed this day as well for training but that they would make an exception for me due to what happened in November. A few days before this appointment, I called the office to confirm my appointment and was told that their office was moving to a four day workweek and would be closed every Friday, effective immediately. Being forced to reschedule again, I switched the appointment to a few weeks later so that I could get in before the holidays. About a week before my appointment, my tooth became severely infected. I called the office to see if the dentist could write me a prescription. I ended up having to go to urgent care because the dentist would not do anything for me except tell me that I needed to come in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I finally made it to my appointment and made it through the root canal. I scheduled an appointment to have my crown put on at the beginning of January. Before the appointment could happen, the office called to tell me that the impression they took for my crown did not come out correctly and I would need to come in to have it redone. I did so and rescheduled another time a few weeks later to have my crown put in. I was called again and told that the impression needed to be redone again. I came in and redid the impression and made yet another appointment to have my crown placed. Upon arriving at this appointment, I was told that I owed a balance of a few hundred dollars that I was never informed about before. In fact, I had specifically asked after my initial payment if I would owe anything else since I was paying out of pocket due to my insurance not covering the procedure. I was finally able to get my crown placed in March. I left the office and was called after getting down the street and told that I needed to come back to the office to have final X-rays done that they had forgotten to do before I left. After returning and completing the X-rays, I tried to leave again. I was about to leave the parking lot when an employee came running out to my car with the model of my impression that she had forgotten to give me and I had never asked about because they had never mentioned this before. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had and I will not return to this office or recommend them to anyone else.

Nice lady! Terrible booking. They love to reschedule your appointment & they will not call you to reschedule until you’re already in their parking lot.. last minute rescheduling very unsatisfied. Ive only made it into the office 1 time & she didn’t clean my teeth, more like a consultation & X-rays.. I’ve scheduled for a cleaning 4 times & all have been rescheduled. If you’re in need of a dentist I wouldn’t recommend. They’re not going to get you in, expect to be rescheduled multiple times

Its hard finding a Dentist that truly cares about their patients. After going to multiple dentist I can say that I have found that “One Stop Shop”. Dr. Battle has been a life saver for my family and I. When I was experiencing tooth pain, she called me personally to check on me. Root canals, cleanings, fillings and my daughter will soon start her orthodontics treatment. Would definitely recommend Smile Center to everyone!
