Reviews:
I had a crown and a cleaning done at Dental Innovations. Both were satisfactory. I liked Dr. Manroe and was glad to have found a good dentist. Then…everything went downhill after I needed a simple adjustment of my bite that was hitting high in one spot on my furthest back molars due to a lower molar in front of them that had been shifting. Dr. Manroe did the adjustment by grinding the high spot and that corrected the problem. Unfortunately, when a back tooth is ground down, it can throw the bite off on the teeth in front of it, which is what I noticed on my way home. It was getting sore quickly so I made an appointment with Dr. Manroe for another adjustment a couple of days later. (I personally think that when an adjustment is done, the bite of all teeth on that side should be checked during the same appointment to avoid having to come back for further adjustments.) Anyway, I go in thinking this would be another quick and easy adjustment by Dr. Manroe, but boy was I wrong. The female technician who took me back acted annoyed and bothered (how dare I return for another adjustment, I guess) Now this is when it gets weird. When she found out it was the tooth in front of the one that was adjusted a couple of days earlier she really got mad. (Now I was perfectly clear when I called and made the second appointment of exactly what the problem was and which tooth it was, so this was a breakdown in their communication and certainly not my fault.) She went to tell Dr. Manroe and when she returned I got hit with a condescending and finger-wagging lecture that if this happens again, they will need to do an x-ray of that tooth (Huh??? An x-ray because the bite is high? No way.) She also warned (threatened) that they wouldn’t charge me this time, but next time I would be charged. Hey, I never asked for a free visit at any time and promptly told her I had no problem with being charged for any visit. Then, worst of all, I find out that she, not Dr. Manroe with whom I had an appointment, was the one that was going to grind my tooth! I should have walked out at that point, but foolishly let her do it and, to no surprise, she did a poor job. I told her it was the outer side of the tooth that was hitting high, then on my way home I felt it with my tongue and she had ground on the inside of my metal crown. Now they are still hitting high in the same outer spot and are even more sore now. There was no need for her to warn me about a “next time” as there will be no next time. This kind of treatment is a sure-fire no-fail way to drive away a perfectly good patient. Now I need to quickly find a new dentist who will adjust this tooth and check to see if that inept technician damaged my metal crown. I should mention another thing I didn’t like about this office was that you have to completely explain your problem to a technician every time, who then leaves and relates it to the dentist, who then comes in after awhile and gets to work. It has an impersonal, conveyor belt feel. I’m accustomed to a more personable experience where I am allowed to tell the dentist myself what is going on with my teeth and there is no misunderstanding or skewed second-hand information. As I said at the beginning, Dr. Manroe is a good dentist, but he is ultimately responsible for what happens in his office and he should have attended to me himself that day.
Editing review after a couple of years. The office was willing to waive the fee one time which was nice. Prices are still high but the place is clean, professional, and on time.

I have used this dentist several times but will be finding someone new. The location was convenient for me. The prices are very high. I had no problems with the staff and I liked Dr. Manroe. When my mother was in town visiting she broke her crown and I sent her to Dental Innovations. They made her a new crown but it did not fit. She thought the prices were also very high. The reason I will be finding a new dentist is that I am very irritated that they want to charge me $50 for canceling an appt. I received the appointment reminder call on Saturday and I called right away to cancel but there was no one to take the call. So I waited until Monday to call them and they said they would have to charge me because they require 48 hours notice. I have sent 3 new customers to their office and they want to charge me for rescheduling? That’s not good business.

Very pleased. Professional, clean and neat office. People need to read the insurance handout that they give thoroughly before complaining about costs on here. I had a crown done, extraction of wisdom tooth, and some fillings recently and Dr. Manroe is a very nice and caring person. The Dental Hygienist and other assistants were very nice and professional. They were able to work out discounts. First thorough checkup was $10. Complete plan of care explained to me very clearly. Best dental experience so far. I highly recommend them. Referral system works great too, can get you big discounts.
