RUN. We first came to this office last year and spent well over 12,000 on dental work. It wasn’t the worst we’ve ever had but not the best.
My husband had Courtney, who didn’t put his temp cap on well and popped out day 1. When he went back another temp said there was hardly any glue in it. She fixed that. When he went back for permanent caps it was found that they had to do impressions again because Courtney did not do so well.
So I tried finding another dentist yesterday for a lose filling, they were all a month out before getting in, so I went against my own instincts and went back to Ocala dental.. I was so lucky, I got the new dentist who is still working under another dentist, but isn’t around when he does work…..and COURTNEY! I didn’t recognize it was her because her face with that mask on….until after the failed work done today.
Not only is she inept at putting caps in, but she’s really inept at making them. Please tell me why they are a lot longer than my regular teeth?
I had to go back in because the temp is hitting my bottom teeth halfway up the tooth…..as well she did a terrible job sanding them to make them smooth. I told the front office I do not ever want her working on me or my stuff again. Not ever.
They got mother girl who removed the temps, sanded them down, and put them back in. Are they perfect? Hello no. It’s a long shot for that…one this office will not hit the mark on…but at least I don’t feel sand paper in my mouth.
People….take the time, to wait a month, to see an office of staff, and dentists who do the work and not leave it for the underlings…..just heed the warnings

The doctor called this am…had me come back in this afternoon and made right what the tech did wrong.
It’s not perfect but it’s much better.
So I went back in for the permanent caps. The doctor had an attitude the entire time to which the tech apologized. The doctors work is shoddy at best. I called today to have them fix the caps as they hit my bottom teeth as I explained in the last visit when he wouldn’t hear me….and I told him to just get done….
I called today to go back and see a different doctor to fix the issue of my caps hitting my bottom teeth causing pain in them….and they told me I was dismissed.
So in the age of political correctness people can’t address the sub par work we pay A LOT for especially at this office…
So I will continue to see this through and will see the best dentists in the country back in VA so they can fix this disastrous job done by this office.
I also think it’s funny they posted fake reviews…..anyone with a brain know that using so many names in the review….theyre fake as….. too funny. Run from this doctor! I had to go to another dentist to fix the mess this man left me…..and didn’t cost me but a couple hundred dollars! These people be trying to take you for thousands!!! It’s a corporation….so they’re really trying to rack it up quick!

Horrible! New patient. I went in for emergency extraction. First… they lied and said they took my insurance. Then…the dentist(Dr Salifu)comes in…starts shooting me up with novocaine, and right away starts yanking on my tooth. Didn’t even wait one minute. Almost $400 to pull ONE tooth.

In response: You are correct! I should’ve been more specific with my question and asked ” Are you IN NETWORK?” But working in the medical field, I’m pretty sure that we all know what a patient means when they ask if we take the insurance.
And yes…I’m sure you did present him with the cost, but AFTER being told you take the insurance…making the appointment, and showing up, of course he wasn’t going to walk out. And unless you can show me something that says he was made aware that your office was OUT OF NETWORK, I’m pretty sure that he wasn’t informed that he’d be paying 3 times the cost…

I have had a great experience with Ocala Dental Care and Dr. Salifu and his assistant. They where up front with there prices and answered every question I had. I needed a full set of dentures but couldn’t have a regular upper. So I got an implant. I needed to have surgery with bone grafting. I was so worried that I would be in pain for a while. I was shocked when the day after all I needed was Ibuprofen. I had a little discomfort for about a week but after that I was great. I love my new smile. Thanks Ocala Dental Care.
