Reviews:
I started going to Dr. Kevin Wong’s dentist office many years ago. I am 58 years old and have been to many different dentists over the years. Like everyone else I am sure, going to the dentist is not something anyone truly enjoys.

Having said that, from my very first visit those many years ago. I have been treated with the outmost respect from reception. And because they know how forgetful I am they call me a week in advance of my appointment. They also help me and speak to the person about my teeth cleanings. As we get older and each person is different, that can hurt if not done properly for you specifically. At Main Street Dental my teeth cleaning has always been the absolute best and boy are my teeth very clean afterwards.

Moving on to my dental work. Dr. Wong is the most personable and the gentlest dentist I have ever visited. He goes out of his way to make the experience as good as it can be and as painless as possible. I have to be the biggest suck when it comes to needles and pain. This is the very first Dentist that I can say with absolute confidence every time I go in I know the process will be smooth and timely (that’s very important to me) and as close to pain free as it can be.

I truly cannot say enough about all the staff and Dr. Wong himself. And I back this up by having my entire family go to Dr. Wong’s for all their dental care and if I could give him 10 stars on this report I would. From booking appointments, to cleaning’s and most of your dentistry requirements. For my money there is no better dentist than Dr. Wong.

P.S. Going in today for part 2 of my root canal today. Am I concerned, not in the least. Actually, looking forward to seeing all the staff and Dr. Wong, the root canal work not so much, lol. But it needs to be done and there is no better place than the Main Street Dental office!

Thank you to all at Main Street Dental!

Would give more stars for how nice the receptionists are but I won’t. I’m not a patient there anymore however I want to share an experience so people can make an informed decision when choosing this clinic. I had bad breath for 15 years and Dr. Wong never found out why. Apparently some people just have bad breath. The day I switched to a different clinic I had x-rays done and the new dentist noticed a rotten molar that had been like this for the 15 years. It caused a lot of issues to the area and I ended up with two implants plus a bone graft as a result. The funny thing is that the moment my new dentist pulled the molar the bad breath was instantly gone. This molar had a soft root. It was so gross. But Dr. Wong did not notice this even after the many x-rays he did through the years I was his patient. So I would say that for this lack of knowledge and incompetence I would never recommend this dentist. I would have never known that he is not actually a good dentist were it not for an incident that occurred on the day I fired them as providers. I was on my way out of an appointment when I saw his sister screaming at the receptionists. I was shocked. She was screaming at them. It was the trashiest power trip I never expected. The receptionists were afraid of talking back at her so I did in their stead. I told her she was being very unprofessional and abusive to the staff. She screamed at me then and told me it’s none of my business. Sorry lady but it sure is. You lost a customer that day, especially since I complained to the owner (Dr. Kevin Wong) only five minutes later and he completely dismissed me treating me like I had been hallucinating the experience which he undoubtedly heard in the procedure room next to us. So long and goodbye, and good riddance.
Dr Wong was my dentist until I had a bad experience from both him and the hygienist. On the day of my appointment, I took public transportation and as soon as I walked into the office, an unfamiliar woman (the hygienist) at the end of the reception desk said “You’re late.” Wow, I didn’t even take off my coat. The waiting room was empty, so at least I didn’t have to wait long. The attitude of the hygienist didn’t get better, because she was belittling and rude while taking a set of x-rays. Is that the way you behave to a person who is the direct reason you’re employed? Then Dr. Wong told me that I had to do root canal on one of my back teeth, but I went for a second opinion (due to the horrible appointment) at another dentist and it was only a cavity. Unbelievable! A root canal would have been at least 300$! This is my advice: if staff at a dental office treats you rudely, don’t waste your time – go somewhere else. Also, sometimes it’s good to get a second opinion.
