I would like to start off by saying I had great dental hygienists at Golf Links Dental. The issue I had was when I needed a couple of cavities filled. I had a slight cavity between my 2 molars, and had the cavity filled by Dr. Sumar. During my filling, the dentist was very aggressive and did not explain anything she was doing to me. She was in and out of the room, seemed very rushed, and didn’t even care to warn me when she went to numb my mouth. Prior to the filling, I had no pain or sensitivity in my teeth at all. A few days after the filling, I noticed sharp, unbearable pain where the filling had been done when I ate and flossed. I went back to the dentist and had the filling redone by Dr. Duhan, but experienced the same pain afterwards. I ended up having to go to a different dentist who was able to provide me with answers on why I was experiencing the pain and fixed the problem for me, but I had to pay out of pocket as I did not trust to go back to Golf Links Dental, who already used my insurance coverage for the botched filling. I did not feel like the dentists at this practice cared about me or acknowledged the level of pain I was experiencing. They had said they took x-rays, looked at my teeth and saw nothing wrong so there was nothing much else they could do other than try to refill it for a third time or refer me to a specialist. Horrible customer service and I am too scared to ever go back here. I would recommend Golf Links Dental for the hygienists, but not if you need a filling or any kind of oral surgery.

Let me start off by saying I have pretty severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I avoid it at all costs (even though I shouldn’t). I found Dr. Duhan’s office in a desperate attempt to get a root canal tooth gone wrong pulled. Not only was her entire staff empathic and kind, Dr. Duhan herself was patient and supportive during the removal process. I have never come across a dentist this understanding before.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the Hamilton area.

Golf Links Dental has been our Family’s Dentist since 2012. We have stayed
because of the accessibility, the great service and the quality of the work they do. Dr Duhan is very caring and very professional. A few times we needed her attention when we didn’t have an appointment and she kindly made herself available. We are delighted to know her and her team. Greater years ahead!
