Very poor experience. Dentist barely looked in my mouth. She didn’t even put the chair down just looked at my teeth on one side with a mirror. No charting. No gum exam or pocket charting. No scale and polish. PS26.80. One minute exam. Then she tried to get me to sign a declaration stating I was exempt when I pay. I expect the ruse is to claim the fee from the NHS too. I’ve been going for years here and always been happy. Will not be going back. Complete con.
Although there were a few muddles prior to the appointment (got texts saying appt was cancelled then about 3 more asking me to confirm I could attend?) on the actual day I was very impressed. First time seeing Marcus and he was excellent. Really personable and encouraging regarding simple improvements to dental hygiene. Very impressed by his manner and knowledge.
Very pleasant experience overall. I had just one concern. The dentist said I could only have a route canal treatment if I paid privately with him. He wouldn’t (or couldn’t) do it through the NHS. I hope he wasn’t just trying to get money out of me… . I have to have the tooth extracted now.
