Reviews:
I was in pain due to my wisdom teeth, therefore, I contacted Dr. Pooja after reading her reviews. I scheduled wisdom teeth surgery with her after a brief consultation. Dr. Pooja informed me that I do not need to be put under (which by the way, resulted in a painful surgery). During the procedure, while my mouth was open and full of blood, she stated that she was not going to stitch the area after pulling out two teeth. She did not inform me that she was not going to stitch prior to the surgery. This resulted in significant bleeding for weeks, which was very very painful.
After the surgery, Dr. Pooja failed to provide cleaning materials (which all other dentists provide after wisdom teeth surgery) such as a syringe and mouth wash to clean the areas. When I called the office, explaining that I am still in a lot of pain, they dismissed this and told me it was normal. I called about 3 weeks post-surgery, sharing that I am still experiencing excruciating pain and the area in my mouth was purple, although I followed all instructions that were given to me. I was again informed that this was normal. Due to the significant pain I was experiencing, I then went to another dentist as an emergency, and it ended up that I had dry socket. When I told Dr. Pooja, she accused me of smoking (although I do not smoke and never have). I endured months of pain due to Dr. Pooja failing to provide proper treatment. You could literally see my jaw bone when I opened my mouth, and my nerve endings were exposed to air (which is extremely painful). I wasn’t able to eat properly and was in excruciating pain for months. I was not able to exercise, eat, and struggled concentrating due to the pain for months.
Post-surgery, I had also called to ask if I can exercise, as I hadn’t exercised for a long time due to heavy bleeding in my mouth. Dr Pooja told me that I should not exercise, although she should’ve told me this herself post-treatment. Dr. Pooja then said that it doesn’t matter if I skip exercising anyways and told me that I looked “fine.” Super unprofessional
I honestly don’t understand how she has so many positive reviews. I think that she must be providing people a discount in return for a 5-star review.
