Passive aggression is a big part of the culture here. The person doing x-rays of your teeth will not explain to you that most of the x-rays other than the specific tooth you’re there to address are optional. The reason for this is to get as much money from your insurance as possible.

They will basically ignore you and treat you like an object while holding friendly conversations with each other literally right behind you in the same room as if you don’t exist.

They like to sigh dramatically after you ask clarifying questions because being concerned about your dental health inconveniences them (?).

The front desk workers WILL have a fake persona and smile that will come across as rather creepy. If you ask them any questions, you’ll see the anger behind the persona. Everyone is mentioning how nice the doctor is and he is– unfortunately, his back is going to give out soon from carrying the place for so long.

Choose a different dentist, they’re not emotionally intelligent here and they don’t care about you, only your money. Go to Smile for Life Dentistry in Glen Carbon instead for better service.

So my very first time coming to Aspen Dental I felt a very calm, peaceful, and relaxing environment. The front desk lady was very friendly and polite. Actually too keep this short the whole staff was this way. As they looked at my teeth and gums they explained in detail step by step what they were doing. I don’t have Dental insurance, with that said I think there prices are fair. Being a new patient they did a 3D X-ray on my teeth and checked my gums, all that for 20 bucks, they even gave me a printout of everything that was wrong and needed tending too, plus showed the price of what the cost of everything would be..not bad if you ask me. I originally came to see them because I needed a tooth pulled, naturally my tooth was infected and couldn’t be pulled at that time. I took the antibiotics to get rid of the infection and go on a later date to get the tooth removed. In all however, I think that this was probably my first best dental experience I have ever had in my life.

Hello! I should definitely elaborate on my experience. My original dentist retired some time ago, and I hadn’t been able to find a dentist that took my insurance for a number of years. We found a place down in East St Louis, but we were wary of the area and decided to look elsewhere; that’s when we found Aspen Dental. While they didn’t take our insurance (my mother and I), we were able to get a really, really good deal on my dental work (a crown, cavity work and a cleaning).

I got the temporary crown put in earlier today (the original plan was for September, but they managed to get me in only three days after my first visit), and I was very satisfied with the work done by my dentist and his assistant. I was offered sunglasses to protect my eyes from the bright lights, which I was very appreciative of.

Very friendly doctor and staff, was very happy they managed to get me in so much earlier to fix my broken tooth. Thank you very much for your work!
