I visited for a filling on a molar. I was told I actually had 7 cavities that needed to be filled. They wouldn’t show me the cavities on the X-ray which immediately made me apprehensive. I paid for the exam and went to a different dentist for a second opinion. They found no other cavities (there was one spot with some minor enamel loss but that was it). This office showed me everything on the X-rays and explained what they were looking for. Aspen dental has no code of ethics it seems. They just want to shake you down for whatever you’ve got and ruin your teeth in the process. I’d highly suggest going anywhere else. It may be the only place covered by your insurance but you end up paying more because you’re getting work done that you don’t need. I was quoted around $2000 at Aspen with a dental savings plan, I paid $600 with no insurance elsewhere for a filling, exam, and cleaning.

I went to Aspen Dental for a couple of issues. I hadn’t been to a dentist in 5 years and was hoping to have an exam, cleaning, and Xrays. The personnel were all friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable in what they were doing. I saw 5 people from beginning to end. The receptionist, the Xray technician, the dentist, the dental hygienist, and their billing person. I went here thinking that my insurance would cover most of the expense of the work I needed. We’ll, I was somewhat blindsided. I need a $800 cleaning that my insurance wouldn’t cover and a crown that would cost me an additional $1000 after my insurance (I have a $1500 allowance for that type of work). Needless to say, I was disappointed. Other than the financial aspect of my experience (I haven’t paid anything yet, but would have to for my future appointments), I had no complaints about my first visit.

I have to say that I’ve had terrible experiences when it comes to visiting the dentist, but Aspen Dental completely turned that around for me. I had a phenomenal experience the second that I walked in from the friendly staff to the most kindest dental hygienist Michelle. She is one of the best that I’ve experienced, so professional and knowledgeable. Michelle did a fantastic cleaning job, one of the best I’ve ever had done. I highly recommend Aspen Dental in Kingston, and I hope that you get Michelle as your dental hygienist because she will not disappoint. Overall 10 out of 10 experience, thank you so much!
