Astek have their dental lab on site which is how I believe all dentists should be set up. I had a front tooth knocked out in a childhood accident and have since been very conscious of the way my smile looks. In today’s world of working on Teams and video calls for the main part, this was becoming more and more problematic for me. So along with attending appointments with my dentist, Leila, for general dentistry she took impressions and Ailsa, the proprietor, created two bespoke veneers to make my front teeth appear more normal and worked with both me and my lovely dentist, to tailor my smile when I wasn’t initially delighted with the result – cancelling afternoon appointments until we were done. Two veneers sounds a simple, ordinary thing, but I actually didn’t have two front teeth to work with – just one front tooth and a smaller, differently shaped, side tooth which looked quite odd. I now don’t even think about my teeth when I’m on screen which is such a relief. Thank you so much Astek!

To say I am a nervous patient is an understatement. Leila has been so patient and kind with me and I am so much more confident in the chair with her. She has also managed to sort out gum issues that have persisted for over 40 years, and now when I’m brushing my teeth there is no sign of anything in the sink but toothpaste. She also keeps me on track when I’m not doing as well as I should be, advising on which brushes, toothpaste for sensitivity, and even demonstrating that you can get the largest of teepees into some very small spaces. Hello everyone, I had some implants put in at Astek Dental, and I was looked after by Ailsa(the proprietor) from start to finish. I felt very comfortable straight away with Ailsa’s charming and professional demeanour. The premises have the perfect blend of modern technology married to old school efficiency, which I love. Hence to say I highly recommend this practice.
I recently went back to see the hygienist and thankfully they spotted that my dysplasia had unfortunately returned, and thanks to the staff at Astek I now have a biopsy booked so it can be taken care of. Astek staff took some photos of the area in my mouth and then emailed them to my phone, which I was then able to show the staff at the hospital. Ailsa and her staff also sorted out a referral letter for my consultant. Wonderful. Thanks to all at Astek.

I moved to Aztek a couple of years ago after my long standing dentist retired. Like any change I was unsure what to expect but I have to say all of the staff are so welcoming and the dental service provided is excellent. I’ve just had an emergency tooth extraction and I didn’t know it had been removed ! Seriously, after the injections to numb the area, I waited outside for 10 minutes went back in and 30 seconds later it was all done with me asking is that it ? I cannot thank Alisa enough. If you are considering moving to Aztek then my recommendation is just do it. A quick mention to Karen on reception too making what can be a stressful situation pleasant and friendly.
