I come to belmont dentist for a check up got told that I have a cavity which needed treatment I then whent back 2 weeks later and had a very deep filling done on the tooth the dentist acknowledged it was a very deep filling and I was told any problems come back as soon as the anaesthetic wore off I was in immense pain for 5 days untill I called to get another appointment then I had a partial root canal done which wasn’t too bad obviously painful during and after but not many problems then I whent back about a week to 2 weeks later had the whole root canal “completed” the dentist tried to do the procedure without any anaesthetic I had to ask her for it which is ridiculous as you are touching a nerve obviously I’m going to need numbing took over an hour to do as she couldn’t get one of the nerves due to a bent root at the end now fast foward to 2-3 weeks later and my root canal filling is just crumbling out leaving me with a hollow tooth and severe pain and obviously some of the nerve is remaining because I am in severe pain I wouldnt mind if it was done properly the first time but 4 appointments for one tooth which I never had any issues with before coming for the check up is a bit of a joke now all I have is problems, I am currently on holiday so god knows how I am going to get this sorted out but I will not be coming back to belmont for treatment as clearly doing a simple filling isn’t in their specialty because the filling materials are literally crumbling out of my tooth and the fact that I got put on the spot for a video review after having my mouth and face pulled around for over an hour isn’t a good thing. I will be submitting a formal complaint about this as this is just absolutely absurd. Edit: just to be clear as it won’t let me respond to your response I was told the tooth is finished and I’d need a check up in 6 months I also questioned all of this as I was unsure, the woman I see said she wasn’t putting a crown in because it disrupts the mouth too much so I have a filling in place of it no part of this filling in my mouth was temporary. Check with the woman that done it. I won’t be coming back even if I see another person
All occasions I’ve booked appointments first thing in the morning. They still are running 20 mins minimum late! Notices in reception saying they will de-register anyone who misses an appointment. No idea how 9am/9.20am appointments can always be running so late, every time, 25 mins today!. People have schedules and work to get to. They can get away with such poor service (printer also not working for receipts for insurance claims) due to lack of nhs dentists. Stay away if you can. They seem to chop and change their dentists a lot, I had one previously who literally looked in my mouth for 30 seconds, didn’t touch anything and sent me out (after a long wait then a big bill!) he doesn’t seem to be there anymore thankfully and I was told he wasn’t a regular.

This morning after a 25 min wait (the guy before me with a child was also grumbling about it), they were incredibly unhelpful / rude about giving me a receipt for insurance. They said I should photograph their screen but they didn’t know what to do and were showing me partial bits and it was ridiculous and taking ages. I then said could they email me the receipt as their printer was broken. The lady’s response was ‘when do we have time to do that.’ I left my email but doubt I’ll receive it. I’m sorry but do they have zero customer experience skills, be polite and helpful, its not my fault they clearly have issues their end. Training for how to speak to customers is much needed! I know the previous male receptionist was also very rude but he clearly hasn’t been replaced by more knowledgable, efficient or polite staff. No reminders for appointments either. If it was easy to find another dentist I would have left a long time ago. Huge number of people in waiting room so assume other dentist somehow was also extremely late this early in the morning!

I have been coming here with my family for years. I usually see the practice owner but my last course of treatment (dreaded extractions) I have seen Dr Milena Cerova who is absolutely fantastic. She genuinely cares and it shows. The work she performs is excellent. The staff here are always attentive and will do all they can to cater for your needs. The place is five stars in our opinion. I highly recommend it.
