I would avoid this dentist office-

I got there at 11:45am for a 12:00pm appointment. They took me at 12:30pm which was fine. The office itself is worn down, just not a place you want to be when people are working inside your mouth. The room they took me too was dingy and just did not feel clean. Looking around as I walked back to the lobby every room or closet you can see into was disorganized or messy.

The dental hygienist was sweet but a little older and didn’t have the motor skills to be working inside people’s mouths. After X-rays she decided I was going to need a deeper cleaning and I would have to come back.

The dentist there at the time whose name is not on the practice was great.

The office manager tried to have me sign a bill that had all future cleanings on it even though I told her I wanted to think about it because I knew I would be going somewhere else. I asked her why I would sign a bill that states these cleanings occurred today when they had not, she told me not to worry about signing it.

I was new to town and picked this place because they have 4.6 stars. I wish I looked at the 1-star reviews, and the defensive responses included from whoever manages their social media. It appears from other reviews they got to 4.6 stars by enticing patients to give 5-star reviews with Starbucks gift cards which makes sense. All around shady practice.

I’ve waited about a year before leaving this review, so things at BestCare could be different now but since I just got an automated text and email from them urging me to return, I’m going to leave this here:

I gave this place so many chances, I wanted it to be my dentist so bad because I live literally right next door in the apartments on Delmar. Every time I visited, it got worse. The office and patient rooms were dirty, they ignored my requests for more anesthetic while in pain, and they charged me more money simply for having them fix a painful mistake they made less than a week prior.

So now instead of walking 30 feet outside to go to the dentist, I get in my car and drive 20 minutes to a more reputable and pain-free practice. Which is unfortunate but just goes to show how awful this place has been for me.

Oh, and to Best Care – before you reply with “you’ve never been a patient here!” (as if that is an appropriate way to deal with legitimate criticism) .. “Ketracel White” is not my real name.

Don’t trust the 5-star ratings. They charged me upfront before the treatment. I went in for a cleaning, but they did a filling without informing me about any additional charges. I even checked with the front desk after my treatment, and they said I didn’t owe any money. Now, they’re sending me mails demanding extra payment and they threatened to send my account to collections if I don’t pay. I’m disappointed with their service.
