Appalling dentist – took my crown off without my consent. Completely ignored the fact that she needed my consent to do that, seemed to think that if I was in her chair she could do what she liked without my consent. She was my third opinion, for a loose crown. Two dentists had looked at it, poked it with a pointy instrument, noticed it was loose, and given an opinion. She poked it with the pointy instrument, then attacked my tooth with forceps. I asked what she was doing, she said she couldn’t tell it was loose – next minute she had broken my crown off. I did NOT consent to her taking my crown off! She did NOT inform me that was what she was going to do. She didn’t give a #$&* about my right to informed consent – just went ahead and did what she wanted to do. Firstly she was incompetent, because she couldn’t tell with the pointy instrument it was loose when two prior dentists were able to, and secondly blatantly unsafe because she totally disregarded the need to get informed consent before she took my crown out. I came to her for an opinion, I did NOT come to her to have my crown taken out. I’d give her negative five stars – see this dental practice at your own risk, the dentists are unprofessional, unsafe, and plain stupid – two other dentists could tell it was loose with the pointy instrument, but Brighton Dental Care couldn’t.

The practice was sold last year all the staff changed and it wasn’t communicated to patients. I went to my appointment expecting to see my favourite dentist and he wasn’t there. I should have walked out rather than going through with the appointment.

Friendly staff, lovely receptionist, caring and considerate of patients issues regarding bookings.
Dentists are professional and do a wonderful job.
I highly recommended this practice and I’ll be returning again.
