Short answer: this is the best dentist office

Long answer: I’m a grownup who has huge anxieties around dentistry, as well as sensory processing differences that make going to the dentist nearly unbearable,
both physically and mentally. I had avoided going for YEARS, but decided I needed to take better care of my oral health. So, one night when I couldn’t sleep, instead of doomscrolling on social media, I decided to google “dentist offices around me”. I sent off emails to a dozen of the offices around me (there were pages of results within 1.6kms!).

The only reason I ended up at Britannia Dental was because they were the first to call with a next-day appointment. I’m so glad they did.

The staff were all so kind and welcoming. The office is small and gave off family doctor vibes. The hygienist name was Rania and she was the most patient, gentle human ever. They didn’t push any “add ons”, understood I didn’t have total coverage on my insurance and didn’t even charge me for the “crying breaks” I had to take to get through the scraping. The crying was due to my sensitivity not the hygienists.

I had a cavity that needed filling, and they took care of it the next day, before I lost my nerve to come back. The dentist himself was equally kind, quick and patient. The filling didn’t hurt at all- I didn’t feel anything!!

Since this experience, I’ve moved to Durham region, but I still drive back here for cleanings and the staff has been equally awesome every time

This dental clinic is a scam. The receptionists are rude. The hygienists are lazy and do not do a proper cleaning. They literally just floss your teeth and do a little scaling. If you go to any other dental office the hygiene appointment is one more and they clean! Not only do they not clean well but they are very aggressive. Dr. Sorrial once said I had a cavity from a X-ray. I went for a second opinion and the other dentist said there were no cavities! The office is old and their technology is old and needs a modern update. They will do whatever they can to scan you of your money especially if they know if you have insurance. Run. Just stay away from this horrible clinic.

I’ve been going to this clinic since my high school days, now I’m in my late 20s and the experience gets better every time. Big shout out to the dental hygienist Anita for her thorough cleaning, her approachbility and welcoming nature . She’s very responsive while cleaning, making the experience go smoothly. She has been my hygienist for well over 6 years now. Also the clinic overall is amazing, lovely people every where from office administrator Mary to Dr Sorial and all the staff there . Highly recommended.
