Reviews:
It is with a heavy heart I am writing this review. I was a patient at BCS for 30+ years and have just had my first dental visit with my new provider, and in fairness need to share my recent experiences with BCS so others can make education decisions. Since Dr. Hopenwasser’s retirement, this business has shifted from patient focus to bottom line focus, resulting in significant financial impacts to patients. The hygienists are seemingly pushing product and procedures on patients, when they aren’t medically necessary. A relative of mine was told he had a cavity, and had some skepticism as he hadn’t been forewarned of a possible development and decided to get a second opinion. It turned out, he did not have a cavity nor did he require a filling. Though we managed to avoid erroneous costs due to our long tenure & knowing the hygienist, it was very uncomfortable to be encouraged to buy product & after that incident, I felt like I could no longer trust the dentists’ recommendations. In the end, this is a dental facility, please refocus on your patients & not pushing unnecessary procedures on those who have been loyal for so long. I will not return, nor will the rest of my family. None of the hygienists we once saw have stayed with the practice & we have reason to believe the dentists aren’t being 100% truthful anymore. It’s a sad reality of business greed. That said, my new provider has assured me they would not push me to do anything I am not comfortable with and it was a relief to leave without a $500+ bill. It’s a shame BCS is destroying Dr. Hopenwasser’s legacy.
I can’t say enough about the positive experience I continue to have at Bucks County Smiles! I’m not exaggerating when I say that EVERYONE is a pleasure to work with! The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, the financial staff are super helpful and sensitive to the financial aspects of dental work, the technicians are knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable and at ease, Dr.Rudin is highly skilled and very personable which makes you feel confident that you’re in good hands, and Jenn is an amazing hygienist who takes time and care to educate you in best practices for great oral health…not to mention super fun to talk to! I’m grateful to have found this dental practice!!
My wife and I have been with this practice since 2000. In fact, our kids and my parents have all happily been clients for the last two decades. What’s more in the last two decades I have changed my primary care physician more than six times. I’ve had veneers installed, one or two cavities filled, all my dental hygiene appointments and some appliances over the years. Quality earns loyalty.
