Had been going here since 2021. I have been getting masseter botox with no problem, except the last time. The actual injection takes less than 1 minute, it’s an extremely fast/rushed process. The injection wasn’t in the right spot and it went up completely, making my smile really crooked and weird.
I called them and they got me in to assess it. Immediately she said it can’t be the botox and it must be bells palsy. I thought this was unlikely since this happened a week after the injection, which is when it would kick in. I saw my family doctor + a walk in who both said I don’t have bells palsy.
Nothing else was offered to me – no top up, no refund, not even a single apology, just another “follow up” appointment after saying there is nothing they can do.
So be careful, if anything goes wrong they won’t take any responsibility or help you, no matter how loyal of a customer you’ve been.
Had a very unprofessional experience at By the Lake Dental. After being told the appointment time I had was the ONLY slot available for the week, I ended up waiting 15 minutes before finding out I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for a cleaning, AFTER I asked about it. Then I was asked to reschedule for another slot that week. As the clinic was backed up, why wasn’t I informed about the delay to begin with? No respect for personal time. Quite surprising because this was the first time this happened but likely won’t be returning.
The service here is outstanding!
Firstly, Miranda was able to get me an appointment on short notice,
for a vertically broken molar.
Then, amazing work was done by the caring and knowledgeable
Dr. Ioana Fugariu,who saved my tooth,where I am sure many other
Dentists would have extracted.She was patient and supportive
during the entire procedure and very well assisted by Mari,
the dental hygienist.
