Reviews:
This review is not reflective of the wonderfully friendly staff at Cedar Point; almost every member of their team was welcoming, kind, and personable in each interaction. However, a number of alarming practices and incidents occurred over a two year period that I wish, as a new patient, I would known. Most concerningly, after a 31 year streak of being cavity-free (confirmed through regular visits/xrays at other practices), the dentist discovered four cavities on my first visit; however, she purported that the cavities were in the infancy stage and, as such, could be drilled and filled without novacane. Done. At my next cleaning, she suggested using a new technology/camera that could discover cavities before detection through physical examination, leveraging my recent pregnancy to claim that my teeth were especially vulnerable to decay. Unsurprisingly, she discovered a host of emerging cavities and suggested that they be drilled/filled immediately. I was suspicious and held off. Fast foward 1.5 years, I moved to a country without profit-driven dentistry and at my first visit (x rays completed, thorough examination), the dentist revealed that I have zero signs of cavities. My husband also experienced the same (something like 10 cavities discovered over the course of one year after being cavity-free for decades). Secondly, at my first two cleanings, the hygentist was so rough that I was left very sore and bleeding for the remainder of the day, something I had never experienced before. She also spent the entire cleaning complaining about past patients who left her poor reviews and asked me several times to write positive reviews to counter the negative ones. This was followed by several calls and emails from the clinic requesting the same. Perhaps soliciting public reviews at such frequency/intensity is standard practice for them but I have never experienced that at another clinic.
I have been suffering with tooth discomfort for a little while, but that had more to do with sub-standard medical attention from other facilities, not my dentist. Dr. Lunden and staff came to my rescue and provide relief to my dental pains. Although I don’t recommend a root canal for entertainment, Dr. Lunden & staff did an excellent job of putting me at ease for the procedure. Thanks to their efforts, I am no longer seeing the world through a fog of pain. I appreciate their efforts more than they know.
Dr. Lunden and the staff at Cedar Point Dentistry have provided me and my family with reliable care and support for many years. I”m grateful for their thoughtful follow-ups and especially thankful to Ashley, Vera, and Jason, for helping to make me comfortable during each visit. If you are looking for a dentist, give them a try. I think you will be pleased with the results.
