Reviews:
A caring, easy to talk to dentist with a great chair side manner, was highly recommended to me at this surgery and I made an appointment, a few weeks ago.
I needed a small temporary denture to be made up for one tooth, while I looked for a suitably qualified dentist to replace part of a dental implant for me.
I should have just left, as before even trying to talk to this person as I realised very quickly this he was not the dentist I should have seen and I felt extremely uncomfortable with him.
In all the years I have consulted with dentists I have never met one like this!

He completely dominated the conversation and started off by explaining things to me that were not relevant.
While I could not fault his dental skills, he was perfunctory, had no chair side manner and was unsympathetic.
I had impressions taken so that the temporary product could be made up and I went back for a fitting, a couple of weeks later.
Thankfully it was a very quick visit and I had no intention of going there again.
He told me he did not do dental implants but that he fitted abutments to dental implants. He said he could not assist me as he
had never heard of my implant manufacturer. (DIO).
I found this very odd as I had phoned around and number of local dentists were very familiar with DIO implants.

I had a single tooth denture made overseas previously. It was smaller, fitted fine and it never came loose at all.
However, this one was much longer in size and it did become very loose, very quickly.
The dentist had told me what to do to fix this, if it should happen, but his instructions did not work.
I had no alternative but to make an appointment to go back and have it adjusted. In the interim, I had developed an abscess under a different tooth.

At the second appointment. He insisted on talking first, instead of asking me what the problem was.
He spoke to me as if I was a child and he actually became quite loud and arrogant.
He appeared to be upset because I had been put on antibiotics for another reason and evidently this resulted in the abscess not showing up on the X-rays he took, but I had experienced this issue three times previously exactly what was causing the pain.
He cleaned and put a resin treatment on the neck of the painful tooth, to desensitize it, then said that he found decay in another tooth and that it would be very difficult to fix it, if it could be “fixed” at all.
I found his attitude to be extremely negative.

The issue certainly was the start of an abscess as the pain only subsided once I had finished my course of antibiotics.
His solution to the small denture coming loose was to use adhesive, but I had not needed to use adhesive with my original one.
He made an adjustment to it, which made no difference, whatsoever, so it was a very expensive mistake.

The final straw was when he had finished talking, the dental chair, which was reclined, was suddenly shot up to the upright position, with no prior warning, resulting in me hurting my back and making me quite dizzy.
They knew I had an operation very recently and this action was cruel, unprofessional and totally unnecessary.
There is no way I would ever recommend this rude dentist and I wish I had never gone there.
The entire experience was extremely unpleasant and only reason this gets a two star rating is because the receptionists are extremely professional, helpful and polite.

Honestly can I just say how great this place is. I recently went in with a gap in between my teeth that existed even after my braces. I had talked and been to dentists before and was turned down or given expensive options. Anthony (the dentist) was incredible, he gave me numerous options and accommodated them to me. I left with my gap restored, feeling more confident than ever! The team is just lovely as well. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this place! 🙂
I had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed here (on 2 separate occasions) and want to say thank you to Dr Anthony and his team. I am always so anxious when going to the dentist. Dr Anthony and his assistants were so caring and really helpful in calming my nerves. The whole extraction process was quick and pain free. I also recovered well each time. All the staff here are very friendly and professional. Definitely will return and recommend!
