I didn’t learn that Dr Jen retired until my son was already in the chair. I actually had to ask about her before they mentioned anything. Dr Jen was amazing. The new dentist, not so much. My son is like cavity prone and always needs some type of work done, even though he is 7 he never had an issue with getting the work done. With the new dentist my son started freaking out in the middle of it. I could hear my son, so I walked back there and the dentist didn’t stop what he was doing, didn’t try to say anything to calm him down, nothing. Luckily, I was able to get my son to relax. It wasn’t our normal experience with Charleston Smiles, he isn’t Dr Jen. 2 weeks after the appointment the crown was stabbing my son and scraping his tongue. We found a new dentist and at first my son was terrified of going to the point of saying it no longer bothered him. I have suggested Charleston Smiles to everyone that has asked me for a Pediatric Dentist for 12 years now, but now that Dr Jen has retired that will no longer be the case.

I’ve been bringing my son here since Dr. Patterson opened up the building. She was an amazing dentist to the kiddos. My son loves going to the dentist because of her. We were so sad to receive news of her retiring and pursuing something else but we are so happy for her and her new endeavors. We met the new dentist today and he was so amazing. Dr. Sam was informative and made our visit easy. Anytime someone asks for a dentist office I always recommend Charleston Smiles. Keep up the amazing hard work.

This is the absolute best pediatric dentist office I have been too. From the doctor to the staff, every one is extremely patient, pleasant, and welcoming which always makes not only me, but my sons extremely comfortable! We’ve been coming here for years and although the dentist has changed, Dr. Sam has made this a smooth transition and he is such a phenomenal doctor! I highly recommend Charleston Smiles for all children’s dental needs.
