I needed to find a new dentist because my local dentist left town. I wanted some cosmetic dental work done on one tooth that I didn’t like but was also due a cleaning. I first went to one of the well established, popular cosmetic dentists in South Bend. I didn’t have any discomfort when I went in there but ended up with approximated $2000 out of pocket (my insurance pays $1000/year) for 2 crowns and a filling. My insurance company didn’t think the tooth that got the filling needed the filling when they reviewed the X-rays. Besides the $2000 worth of dental work, I also had a quote for another $8000 worth of bridge work that the dentist said needed replaced. There were other incidents with the South Bend dentiist so I decided to look again. I was recommended to Dr Schill and am very happy that I was. He let me know that my $8000 quote of bridge work didn’t need replaced at all as long as it wasn’t causing me any problems!! I was told by South Bend dentist that I would need an implant for the cosmetic service but instead, Dr Schill did a little bonding and reshaping of the tooth that was minimal in cost and noninvasive! Plus it looks great!! The color was a little off at first so he redid the bonding on a different day at no extra charge. He really cares about making you happy and tries to balance the cost of the procedure needed to get you the best possible outcome at an affordable price.

My normal dentist was out of town, but as luck would have it, Dr. Schill was covering for him. I reached out regarding an issue with my son’s teeth that had me very concerned. Dr. Schill called me back right away, was willing to let me text him pictures to see if my son even needed to be seen (since he too was technically out-of-office for Spring Break), and calmly walked me through next steps. Admittedly, I was beside myself with worry and Dr. Schill was SO incredibly patient, reassuring and very kind – above and beyond!

All the staff were unbelievably pleasant and helpful. Gavin has to be the friendliest dentist I’ve been to and explained everything to me so clearly, it boosted my incentive for better oral health tenfold. I had a fear of the dentist, and I left excited to come back. WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!!
