Reviews:
First time here as a 21 year old kid 12 years ago. Had great insurance and got fooled into paying $80 for a cleaning because I didn’t know better. After I was brought to the saleswoman who suggested I spend 10K on Invisalign and when my teeth are pretty perfect. Didn’t come back to this place after that. Fast forward to 2024 and I broke my front tooth. Called this place again because I figured why not, I’ll give them a shot again. Gave them my info and they said they accepted my MetLife HMO plan along with notifying them of the situation. Come in at 9 am and we’ll take care of you they said. After receiving an X-ray of the tooth, I get the typical car salesman pitch that this place is notorious for: “You can use a deep cleaning.” I was then told to go over to see the “saleswoman” just like last time where she went through pricing on veneers. $1750 for one but recommended both for a whopping $3500. I asked if they could put a temporary bonding on until I switched my MetLife plan over to a PPO. Was then told they couldn’t do anything my teeth unless I committed to paying for the veneers. Walked out and want to give a big thanks to the staff that wasted my time. My grandmother also had an issue with this place where she paid out of pocket for a procedure and they refused to reimburse her even though they got a check from her insurance company. Please heed my warning and avoid this place at all costs.
The staff is absolutely miserable, yelling at patients as soon as they arrive if they filled out the forms online. Shocker, I did, but they continued to say I didn’t until they found it in their system. Waited over 30 minutes despite having an appointment, which resulted in me having to leave early and not get anything else done besides my x-rays. Later, I get a call saying they no longer accept my insurance and that I can’t come back. They didn’t bother to ask if I had another insurance or if I wanted to pay out of pocket–honestly a good thing, because I would never return with how nasty the receptionists are. Ironically, I kept getting spammed with emails, texts, and calls to return for my next appointment. Over the phone, I asked for my x-rays to be sent to my new dentist, but shocker! They didn’t. Terrible 0/10.
I brought my mother to this Center after a negative experience with another dentist. It’s very convenient – a private practice equipped to provide many different kinds of procedures all under one roof. The dentist and specialists were patient, professional, and courteous. And the administration staff out front is super helpful. It’s hard to care for an elderly parent, but A Center for Dental Excellence made at least this part of it a lot easier. I’m very glad we went here.
