Reviews:
It really bothers me to submit this review, however at this point based on the past few experiences I have had at this dentist office, this is necessary.
First off, my family and I have been patients at this dentistry for at least 7 years. Dr. Clark is a good dentist and has always been professional and friendly with my interactions with her. The issue is with her front desk “office manager” Clyde. It seems that depending on the day and how he feels, will depend on how the interaction with Clyde goes. He is easily agitated and typically borderline rude and abrasive. Again, in 7 years as a patient, I have never been late for an appointment. I typically request the first available for the day as I want to get the pain over with as early as possible. Today, I had a conference call that ran longer than expected and I was 10 minutes late to my 830am appointment. Upon walking in, I said good morning as he and another associate were talking and didn’t acknowledge me as I stood there waiting for them to do so. With no response to my “good morning”, Clyde abrasively asked me “What’s your name again”? Considering I am a long time patient and I had a 15 minute conversation with him literally the day before regarding my appointment, I was incredulous to his question.
Immediately he stated that no one would be able to see me. I asked what the grace period is for being late, as most doctors offices allow at least 15 minutes of a grace period. His response was “I don’t know….5 minutes maybe”? He continued, “There is no set time”…” we’re a small practice so we can’t accommodate any late arrivals, and the next appointment won’t be for another 3 months”. I apologized and acknowledged my tardiness (10 mins) explained I was late due to work, not that it mattered because he dismissed me. I realized my appeal fell upon deaf ears, so I then asked to speak with whomever was in charge. Clyde then arrogantly said loudly, ” I am in charge, I am the office manager”! Keep in mind I never raise my voice in a professional setting, as I also interface with the public on a professional basis. Realizing that I was insisting on speaking with someone who could explain the office policy, he then became increasingly frustrated, and angrily asked me to leave and threatened to call the police if I didn’t!!
At this point I began to match his energy as I was shocked that he would take that position with me, considering I was calm and have been a patient for several years.
I then encouraged him to call the police so we could explain to them what happened. He then seemed to realize he was overreacting and started to calm down.(Keep in mind there were other people and children waiting in the lobby while he was shouting at me). At this point then another associate came up to the front and asked him if HE needed help with anything???
Not once did she ask what was happening (it’s a small office, so I’m pretty sure everyone heard what transpired) or offered a solution to the issue. Clyde then sat down in a huff and said “Yeah you deal with him”.
I then asked for the next available appointment or cancellation and was given a date and time then I left.

As I stated earlier, I have had a good experience with Dr. Clark and her staff with the exception of her “office manager” for 7 years. My wife, and kids all have been patients. Considering the high cost of health care these days, if it were my small business and a long time patient was being yelled at by one of my staff members, I would definitely have a problem with that. Sadly, it seems that Dr. Clark has no control over her office, and is busy enough that she can stand to lose consistent business from a client and his entire family, as I regularly check my insurance statements and see how much they are being billed from our visits. VERY DISAPPOINTED that Dr. Clark didn’t take the time to come out and see what the commotion was all about and maybe tried to provide a solution.
I, nor my family will return to this practice. It’s too bad, as good help is hard to find. I will not pay to be disrespected.

Today we went to have The Crown That is less than two years old and has come off twice already replaced. And they denied a service and told us to leave..
Why???
Because I wanted to be in the room and and did not want the dental tech who deliberately DID NOT let me in last time, working on my son. I was told by dr.Clark herself “it doesn’t matter what I want they are the dentist and they get to decide” that makes you feel real comfortable doesn’t it. You the paying customer have no say and it doesn’t matter if your child wants you there.. wow!!

A crown is supposed to be a permanent fixture. Prior to this it had already popped of twice and we were able to retrieve it. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN 2 YEARS!!!!

THIS 3rd time it was swallowed. The office tried to convince me he needed to retrieve it from his poop to have it put back. I repeatedly said this was not an option and they repeatedly told me why I was wrong and it should happen anyways. I repeatedly said this was not an option and they repeatedly told me why I was wrong and it should happen anyways, And he needed to retrieve it as my cheapest option. (Rebecca- Dental Assistant) After ten minutes of back and forth and her making snide comments under her breath about a toilet being a catchment system. Finally, she concieded that it was under warranty and they would replace it. After saying my son should dig through his feces to put a permanent fixture that he pooped out back in his mouth. Whatttt??

So this lady does not like me, she argues with everything you say think she’s always right and has told me why I’m wrong about fluoride every time I told her I don’t want it, For me or my children.

The day of putting on temporary crown Keanan says he wants me back there and she tells me I cannot come Because Keanan is getting x-rays and she will get me after. 30 mins later and her looking at me atleast 4 times in the wait room. She comes to get me becuase they are almost done to show me. This was intentional And Keanan said she immediately shoved gauze in his mouth, so he couldn’t talk to ask for me. I call her out on it, and she says it’s because they were so busy and ignores me.I tell her about Keanan’s major fear of needles and how severe it is. To which she responds? Oh, you’ll be fine and brushes it off. And I have to convince her that it will not be fine. So then tina says he would rather not have the needle numb and thanks, he can handle it so she proceeds to test this by doing the alignment, cleaning the tooth and putting the temporary with ANY numbing despite the fact the have topical numbing that does not require needles and When he makes a face and pain, she says.” Well, you’re the one who didn’t want any needles.” HOW FRIGGIN CRUEL!!! AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

So this dental assistant took her Frustration of me not doing what she wanted out on my son physically while working on him. And apparently doctor clark is completely okay with this becuase today when I refused to let Rebecca be in the room becuase they refused to let me in the room theyrefused to fix their work and said they will cover it at another dentist. So now my son continues to suffer and wait and miss more work because they have a rude, cruel employee and a practice that is okay with that. And it’s their Subpar work that caused it.

my doctor recommended this place because it was the best and his friend, Clyde works there. I live in Raleigh so I drove half an hour for my appointment. Spoke to Clyde last Friday to confirm my appointment. We chatted for about twenty minutes because he was very personable. Told me I had great insurance, booked my appointment and told me the time. I get to my appointment today and Clyde, same guy I spoke to on Friday, “swore” he didn’t speak to me” and said he “never made an appointment for me and I was not in the system.” It made me feel like he was insinuating I was a liar or crazy. He said he could “squeeze me in” if I waited an hour and a half. I took an extended lunch to get this done and I couldn’t afford to wait because I had to go back to work. I’m so disappointed.
