prelude: i had a root canal done in b.c. over 12 yrs ago. the tooth and area around the touch was in various degrees of pain ever since. however, i was told i was wrong by the dentist who performed the operation.

so when i moved back to montreal 8 yrs ago, i went to see dr mcgregor. who did what the first dentist did and told me the tooth was dead ergo i could NOT be feeling any pain.

i also was told i needed a mouth guard as i grind my teeth, however i did not have insurance to cover the cost. this is when dr mcgregor started to show and demonstrate visible frustration with me over the fact i could not afford a mouth guard. she even made a rude comment about how i didn’t want to get a guard so she couldn’t fill in a groove in one of my teeth. i kept explaining to her that i could not afford one but that didn’t seem to register with her. i remember her stansing there with jer arms crossed almost pouting emphatically, bcuz of course it’s MY fault if i can’t afford a $500 mouth guard. i was so desperate for relief that i ended up buying a 10$ hockey mouth guard and she bregudgingy filled in the groove.

when i first went to her almost 2 decades ago, i thought she was awesome: she was attentive and listened and was gentle and caring. but when i went back to her after 5 yrs in b.c. she was not the same. she never looked into why my root canal tooth was sore and simply repeatedly told me there was nothing wrong as the tooth was dead. meanwhile the crown of the root canal tooth was too big for the tooth and caused my entire lower bottom teeth to shift, which has left me with an uneven bite. so jow come she didnt notice that? all she did was gaslight me on my pain.

i dunno if it’s bcuz i’m a visible first nations woman and she thought i was too stupid to know what was causing me pain, but she was one of 4 dentists in kkkanada who refused to do anything about the tooth. it was only last month when a specialist in selkirk manitoba listened to me, and within minutes offered to take the tooth out.

i am finally pain free in my mouth for the first time in over 12 yrs! but not thx to dr lisa mcgregor.

I first went to Clinique Dentaire du Vieux Montreal for an Invisalign consultation with Dr. Gabriel Kakon. He took his time to listen to my needs and what end result I was hoping for. I was blown away by the technology. He was able to show me a 3D digital model of what my mouth looked like and how my teeth would shift week by week by using the Invisalign trays. He was very thorough, professional, gentle, and overall a very nice person. The clinic is nicely renovated and the staff is very friendly. I used to dread going to the dentist but not anymore. Dr. Kakon has made it a great experience and I’m happy to say he’s my new dentist!

Dr McGregor is just THE BEST DENTIST EVER!! When you start enjoying your appointment at the dentist that just mean everything! She explains and shows you each steps and she is very funny and also a nice singer. I highly recommend her if you are afraid of the dentist.
The team is incredibly nice and warm. Superb Client Experience it is my second time her and definitely not the last.
