I don’t usually write reviews, or complain in fact but today was the final straw.

Two years ago I went to Complete Dental Care to get a filling, and decided while there to get my front tooth veneer replaced as it was begining to get dark after being in place over 10 years.

The people there were all very nice and courtious, but immediately after getting the the veneer placed I noticed some issues. The first was that it did not fix the darkness issue, and the second was that it was too big, I noticed the fact it wasn’t symetrical straight away. The dentist whom had previously told me they would polish it down in this case instead told me to go home and see what others say before they would fix it. Suprising no one; others noticed too.

As if this wasn’t bad enough less than a week after getting the filling done it broke, leading me to have to get it replaced. a few months later the second filling also broke. I decided then to find a new dentist and went and got the filling replaced at Bupa Care Doddington Road. I have had no issues since changing dentist (They even polished the veneer for me free of charge, the same day I mentioned it).

Then today while eating lunch the veneer also broke, embarassing and slightly painful I wonder how the previous veneer/crown stayed fast for over 10 years.

All of this leads me to the conclusion that this is poor workmanship. I will never return to this dentist and suggest other find somewhere else too. The people are kind, the cost was fairly cheap, but I have paid for it double in grief, time, and pain.

I can’t praise the team at Complete Care Dental Clinic enough. I broke a tooth this morning. I’m petrified of going to the dentist so didn’t register with a practice when we moved to the area 10 years ago.

I called the clinic and they booked me for an emergency appointment at lunchtime. I warned them Im a very nervous patient and they were wonderful. Everyone I dealt with made a huge effort to put me at ease and check I was OK at every stage.

Nikolay was fantastic. He was very understanding and was able to replace my damaged filling and rebuild my broken tooth without the need of an injection (my other fear).

I’ve even booked back in for a routine checkup.

I’m very nervous when it comes to dentists and dental work, and I said this to the dentist and dental nurse the first few times I came in. But genuinely I’ve felt that they listen, then ask questions, check in with me, and are happy to explain things if I ask for more info. I came here just to get a regular checkup, and since then I’ve had a couple of ‘fissure seals’ (work to prevent fillings being needed in the near future), twice annual hygienist and dentist visits and every time everything has been really stress free and calm. Also the receptionists are always really nice – honest, clear, to the point, and always greet you by name!
