Reviews:
My sons recently visited for their 6 monthly check up. It was a different dentist to normal and both were in the chair, less than 30 seconds each. She did a quick visual check using her fingers around the mouth, no instruments, put some fluoride paste on their teeth and ushered them out the chair. This is the absolute quickest dentist appointment ever I have had at Darmina and it certainly did not appear thorough, nor anywhere near as intrusive as they normally have. Even the children commented how quickly they were in and ou the chair! Other than stating to me brushing is good, the Dentist did not engage in any conversation and gave one word answers to my questions. Bedside manner very much lacking as well!!
The dental check up was thorough and in a pleasant atmosphere; however, when trying to book my next appointment I was informed by the receptionist that I needed to pay for that appointment up front, even though it would be for a year hence. As a pensioner I would prefer what little money I receive to be in my account for as long as possible; I therefore declined to book the appointment and will do closer to the time. Not impressed with the philosophy of paying up front.
I cannot thank this practice enough for the compassion and efficiency they’ve shown me the past few weeks. I had a tooth extracted a few weeks ago and unfortunately experienced complications however the staff have been beyond helpful with my (many!) calls for advice and reassurance getting me in at the last minute. At every stage they’ve been kind and supportive offering advice.
