Reviews:
Everyone is so kind and efficient! I still struggle with a fear of dental procedures, large needles for numbing and previous botched dental work. However, Dr. Afkham, all the dental hygienists and Diane have been very kind and sensitive at my visits. I had my first visit earlier in the year for a check-up, and cleaning. Later on, I did have my crown (from another place) fall out, so they were able to get me an appointment quickly to get it fixed and explain why it fell out. I have recommended this dentist to my friends and classmates. I had trouble with trying to be seen at other dentists as most dentists in the area are not seeing new patients or have a waitlist, but here they welcome new patients and worst case is not having a sooner appointment but it’s definitely better than waiting for months at other places.
First I’m gonna start this off with the fact that I haven’t been to the dentist in 16 years, due to parental neglect when I was a teen and just feeling immense anxiety that I didn’t go when I became an adult and for the fear of being judged. I called around different dental offices to see who was accepting my insurance (delta dental) and this office accepted it and accepted me. The receptionist, I believe her name is Diana, very sweet woman and immediately treated me with kindness and warmth. I needed that, then the assistant who did my X-rays and the Dr himself were so understanding and very tender with me and my dental anxiety. I highly recommend this Dental office if you are searching for one! I’m very happy being their patient and I look forward to my next visits!
1. The most painful X-rays I’ve ever had.
2. Dentist left in the middle of the appointment to take a 24 min phone call while I lay (uncomfortably)propped back in the chair.
3. Received a poor quality, rushed cleaning to make up for lost time.
4. GOT CHARGED $$ at the end for an “operation” that I WAS NOT TOLD would be an expense (and in all actuality was the dentist sanding a tooth for 15 seconds) Receptionist was indignant when I asked about the charge and responded condescendingly.
* In summary, I had to PAY EXTRA for painful, inferior service to staff that belittled me and had no respect for my time.
