Reviews:
Very disappointed with the service I received at this practice. I feel I was decieved, and billed for services that were not necessary. They also did not bundle their x-rays when they submitted them for payment to insurance – meaning the consumer generally has to pay more (the practice of “unbundling” is considered fraud in some states). I specifically made it known I was concerned about costs when I called to schedule the appointment, then I was billed twice as much as I was quoted by Francis when I had called to schedule the standard cleaning/x-rays. In regards to the services I feel were performed/billed without necessity: I asked for all of my records, including any doctor’s notes that would indicate the necessity for x rays on the 2 individual teeth that did not need any dental work. The office was not able to provide anything. I know that the teeth listed on my bill did not need dental work, as I went to another dentist less than 30 days from my visit with Dr. Shainholtz for another opinion, and to have any work completed (I was unhappy with the visit – and this was before receiving the bill!). I was also unhappy with the cleaning that was provided. I would also recommed calling around before scheduling with Dental Arts of Eagle or Dr. Shainholtz to compare costs with other dental offices – this office wanted to charge about $2000 for a crown, $500 more than the new dentist I went to. The office felt gloomy, old, and did not have the sterile feel that I like in a dentist’s office. The entire experience was not on par with what I would expect out of a medical establishment.
I went to Dental Arts Because other dentists told me I needed to have crowns on my teeth. Todd was able to show me that I could keep my teeth and just have old silver fillings removed. That work has begun and I am ecstatic! This dental office has the technology and experience to help anyone to enhance or maintain their smile. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I am looking forward to my next visit which is something I never thought I would say about going to the dentist! !!!
Seriously the best. Could not have wished for a better dentist / crew / experience. Not only is it a joy to see these people even though dentist visits are never fun… they were able to help me out the day after my crown from a previous dentist fell out. 12/10!! Recommend to everyone! So happy I found them. Thanks doc!!
