I’ve been to my share of new dental offices due to moving frequently. I get a cleaning once a year, I’ve had one cavity in my entire life.

I get a sitter so I can go get my teeth cleaned, to arrive and get X-rays, 3D scans, pictures with some high tech camera. They did do a gum exam which is standard. Then proceeded to tell me everything looked great, no cavities. I would need a “specialized cleaning” however to be scheduled in the future because I would need numbing etc etc.

Here comes the bill…. $800. For a cleaning. I asked if I can forego the specialty and just go with the cleaning included with my insurance they said no, because of my “diagnosis” they couldn’t perform just a regular cleaning.

I simply unhooked my bib, and left, then cancelled my husbands appointment I had made for him.

Never have I left a dental appointment without a cleaning save the money on the mailers, and just treat the patients that do come in, please.

The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Hence my second star.

After receiving excellent care at another facility, I am reassured that my awful experience here last year was truly unnecessary.
No one should have to endure a procedure without proper numbing/pain management.
I tried to just endure it as long as I could.

Unsuccessful numbing should have warranted other options which were not offered when I asked , or simply refer me elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I have now joined the dental anxiety club from this experience alone.

Edit to add : when staff did a call follow up with me and I explained I had an unpleasant experience , they simply said “ok” and ended the call.

Positives- The front staff were kind and informative . Facility was clean.

What a wonderful Team of Ladies I met yesterday the greeting by the 2 receptionists was so reassuring. And my New patient experience was so wonderful. My Hygienist Loren was Truely a perfect match for me. So gentle and all around understood my feelings about my dental care and she respected all my wishes. The Dentist was very thoughtful as well thank you for listening to my needs and concerns . Best Dental care in Arizona, thank you from this snow bird I am so glad I had No cavities .
