Went for a dental checkup, during the visit I was advised a dental care kit would help my teeth. A male assistant ran the insurance through the computer and returned stating my insurance would cover 70 percent of the total 1,078-dollar cost, my copay would be 300.00. Based on his statement I signed to proceed with the purchase. Office manager was not present the day I was. The kit came in and I picked it up.
Weeks later, my bill reads I owe 778.00 dollars, thus I proceeded to call the office requesting to speak to the office manager, who was not present. After playing phone tag the office manager stated, “There is a glitching their system and usually she catches this type of issue, but she wasn’t there that day. She would calculate the insurance by hand all the time. Anything he told you was just an estimate. I do know what he told you. “I told her he never stated it was an estimate and now because I believed what he told me, I am out 778.00 dollars. So, essentially, I was lied to. Office manager sent this to corporate which corporate did nothing. Why didn’t the staff know there was a glitch in the system? Why didn’t they know not to give out insurance estimates? Is this the way DentalWorks does business? It’s just amazing how the office and corporate stand behind a person who did not tell the truth accurately and a consumer pays out over 1,000 dollars for his error. Corporate doesn’t want to make things right. Consumer beware this is not a very trustworthy business.

I had the greatest experience today at Dental Works Brunswick location. I called around 11 for an emergency visit and they were able to accommodate me the same day. I was extremely anxious going in and the staff could not have been more helpful and reassuring. Everyone from the front desk staff to my dental assistant (shot out to Ava she was AMAZING!) and the amazing dentist Dr Junyi Wu who was able to extract my painful wisdom tooth in the same visit!! I am so impressed! Everyone who I came in contact with was super friendly and explained in detail the plan and prices for everything – no surprises. I will continue to return again and again. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Wu was professional and accomodating. The dental assistant I had was very personable and helped me to feel at ease during my appointment. I had come to this location because my normal dentistry office did not have topical lidocaine as an option for a tooth filling. The staff was respectful of my wishes and got me in and out in a timely manner. I highly recommend this location.
