I have mostly straight teeth but wanted Invisalign to correct some minor issues. My insurance doesn’t cover orthodontic treatments, but I heard that going to a dental school like UIC might be more affordable. That is why I came here for a consultation.

Thank GOD I also got a consultation at a regular orthodontic clinic before coming here. UIC quoted me $5,103 and an 18-month treatment plan, not to mention it took me 4 months just to get this initial consultation appointment. The other orthodontist I went to, who isn’t part of a dental school, gave me a quote of $4,219 with a treatment time of 6 to 9 months.

If you’re considering going to UIC College of Dentistry Orthodontic Clinic for cheaper treatment, I urge you to get a consultation at a regular clinic first. You might not save as much money as you expect by coming here, and the treatment could take longer. In my case, the dental school was actually more expensive.
