Nice and friendly service, unfortunately I am left with the feeling that I’ve been overcharged. PS57 to register, x-ray and general check up, which was fine. Was booked in for a periodontal appointment with the hygienist at PS89, which honestly was no more of a deep clean than other visits I’ve had to a hygienist. Scale and polish would have been PS56 apparently and seems much more suitable as my gums really were not that bad.

This rang some alarm bells but I decided to go ahead with my filling appointment, it would have been a pretty large one, I checked ahead and it was going to be charged at PS110, which was fine. However, after discussing the work with the dentist, we decided that it would be better if the old filling was repaired for now as there was only a small hole in it and there was a risk of causing further problems if it was messed with.

This took ten minutes, with no anesthesia or drilling required. I went to pay and was quoted PS110! I said that I had not had a full large filling done, so could this price be checked as it should surely be less. The girl went and checked, and came back with PS95! I know that dental work isn’t cheap, but this seems very pricey to me.

So yeah, it’s a shame because they are a really nice practice, but I do feel like I’ve been ripped off a little.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Devon Place Dental. I had an emergency appointment yesterday and was inconvenienced by their inability to print receipts for my insurance company. This is not the first time this has happened, and I have had to call them multiple times on the day of my appointment to request that they send my receipts by email.

I understand that Devon Place Dental is a private dental care practice, and as such, I expect a higher level of service. The ongoing problems with sending emails and taking payments are unacceptable and have caused me unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Over time I have been to a number of practices and have been seen by a number of dentists and I can honestly say that my experiences at Devon Place have been like no other. As soon as you step through the door you are made to feel welcome and comfortable by both the receptionist and dental nurses (both of which I haven’t previously felt when attending dentist appointments elsewhere) and the warm welcome is always continued by my dentist Dr John Anderson. I am absolutely over the moon with my veneers and I am so grateful to John for enabling me to smile with confidence again.
