It took me years to find a good dentist to trust then unfortunately the surgery closed so the rounds of a few more ended in frustration in the cost and lack of trust. My brother suggest the Dentist in his area, so 457 kms later I’m there parked on the lawn with my car and trailer, I’m early as I know I have paperwork to do but no sooner is that done, Joe greets me with a smile and some friendly comments to relax me. The last dentist keep me waiting 25 minutes and I was the first patient for the day and no one else there so we are off to a good start. I’m terrified of the dentist after an extremely bad experience when I was 12 so Joes detailed explanation followed by any questions is going a long way to relax me before he embarks on the two hour appointment,Joe is definitely good at what he is doing as he works his way through the five repairs, I’m actually starting to relax which after 54 years since my bad experience is a first and strangely rewarding.
I now have another visit in a months time to do one more filling and a clean which I can’t believe I’m saying I’m actually looking forward too but I am. I have confidence in Joes honest approach, his detailed explanation of my dental needs and practical plan to gets my Teeth back on track after a two year absence from any treatment.
I really do believe I have received exceptional dental work at a realistic cost. Joe is definitely a great dentist backed up by a great team at Dixon Road Dental Surgery.

I have been attending Dixon Road Dental Surgery for many years. Dr. Joe Muscara has “saved” me many times. He has seen me through some pretty horrible and painful tooth aches and brought me out the other side to put a smile back on my face. Joe is kind and caring. He gets to know his patients and deals with them appropriately, like myself, who is so scared of needles. He does everything in his power to deliver pain free treatment. Seriously, I reckon I would be a nightmare to deal with at times, but through it all Joe has been great. I won’t go anywhere else! In recent times I have had some pretty nice new front teeth fitted and a new top plate……it is so comfortable…..I love it! I would recommend Joe to anyone who is looking for a family dentist. He’s great!

My partner, one of my sons and myself started coming to Dixon Road Dental in 2023 after not being happy at another practice we attended for nearly 25 years. We all wish we had of been here earlier. Both Jo and Siri are so lovely, patient, polite, funny and professional. The dental nurses and the receptionists are all amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone. I really didn’t want to leave this review in case they get inundated with new patients but here I am. Glowing review from all of us. Thank you all for being so amazing.
