If you are someone who wants to feel like a patient in an office and not just a wallet this is the place to go! I have had such bad experiences at other dentists in the past!
It was my first appointment today and my hygienist was really nice, she was educating me about what was going on while she did it and was honest about my smile. I am sad my insurance must not cover polishing or something because thats the only thing I didnt get. I want to be like shelac-ed haha.
She recommended a mouth guard even though I complained about the same symptoms at my previous dentist for a long time and never was recommended one. Even if it isn’t the solution, it’s something to try! The doctor was really kind to all of his staff and quick and efficient with checking out my teeth while also really listening to where I was having sensitivity and made a good plan for it.
The person who was fitting my mouth guard was learning how to do it and the other person who was training her was giving her feedback and checking things out while remaining positive and nice to her.
Basically the environment was a place that was cultivating growth and togetherness/collaboration… and you can’t fake that! There was no fake customer service vibe at all. They were not overly nice, just genuine. They deserve all the stars they have!!

I personally have had horrible experiences with dentists in the past until I came across a recommendation for Dr Sheets a few years ago. To the point that my anxiety has been affected by it. Dr Sheets and his staff are not only welcoming and genuine but are also SO gentle!! I will drive an hour just to continue to be a patient of his. They are flexible, understanding, actually take the time to listen to your concerns, are patient with figuring out what is the best option for YOUR situation and your needs. My fear of numbing has substantially subsided due to Dr Sheet’s gentle and light hand- I could actually relax instead of tense up. His staff is funny, personal and actually take interest in you as a person not just as a patient. 20/10 recommend them always!!
I so appreciate not only how fast I was able to get an appointment but Dr Sheets knew in literally a just a few minutes what was going on in my mouth (I should’ve come to see Dr Sheets months ago). I have to also add that after I got home I received a call from my dermatologist with the results of a biopsy and it confirmed Exactly what Dr Sheets said Spot On!
If you want to go to a dental office that has not only an amazing staff but a Dr who is not only caring but Listens, is Gentle and Really Knowledgeable I HIGHLY recommend SHEETS DENTAL and realize now it’s totally worth the 2+ hour rt drive from Olympia to Federal Way. Now we have to figure out of to cure my problem.
