It’s unfortunate that I’m writing a negative review after a number of positive experiences, but it’s 3+hrs after my appointment and my teeth are still sore from a routine cleaning.

I was running a tad bit late and called ahead and the response I got felt dismissive, like I was causing a problem. Usually when I’m running late (NEVER more than 7 minutes) it’s never an issue. Funny, when I got there I still had to wait another ~3-5 minutes.

Next issue. I have marked in my file to only see one specific hygienist. This is due to sensitivity and anxiety. I know it’s not necessarily customary to alert patients beforehand that their hygienist is unavailable, but in the circumstances that the hygienist is no longer at the practice and you’re replacing my hygienist entirely AND knowing I have a preference, it would have been nice to know before the appointment.

Next batch of issues. The replacement hygienist was polite enough and let me know if I was having any issues, to just raise my hand. Unfortunately if I had raised my hand every time I had an issue, my appointment would have gone on twice as long as it needed to. He continued to check in, but even after I expressed discomfort, he did not adjust his approach. He was rough and not conscientious of my comfort level.

It was only after the appointment I learned I would not be able to have my regular hygienist and I felt uncomfortable discussing my issues with either the receptionist or the hygienist.

Again, I have had zero issues with previous experiences. I do not bleed during appointments or have my teeth hurt after, but today I did, prompting this review. I’m unsure where I stand right now but I hope the practice takes this feedback into serious consideration.

Genuinely the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced at a dentist. First appointment I asked for a cleaning/xray typical new patient (was yelled at on the phone to wait as she couldnt understand my insurance wouldn’t be active for 3 more weeks) , arrived to an xray only appointment (30 min wait, doctor joked about being late, inconsiderate of my time) 2nd appointment cleaning (30 min wait hygienist, joked about being late, inconsiderate of my time) receptionist could not figure out what I needed done and said the office manager would call me back next day with a treatment plan and to schedule. One week later I call, 10 min on hold, disconnected, again 10 min on hold and the office manager proceeds to actually YELL at me over the phone as I was previously told things on the phone that didnt happen (record your calls with these people if you dare go here) the work I was previously told my the doctor I need done isnt even on my charts?? She continues to yell at me obviously trying to shut me up and get me off the phone when I am obviously distressed and wanting to complete the work I need done. As a younger adult with severe anxiety I am distraught, seeking medical care is extremely difficult for me and this place was a total let down and waste of time.

My first visit to Dr. Avetoom left much to be desired.
While I initially went in for a simple fill and requested a minor adjustment to even out my front teeth, the experience was far from satisfactory. From the uncomfortable discussions on politics between the dentist and his hygienist to the negligence that led to a blister forming due to an improperly managed suction, the appointment felt rough and unpleasant.
Despite my specific request, I left with uneven front teeth, a scratch that required me to ask for polishing, and an unexpected gap between my teeth.
Having to seek another dentist to fix these new issues will incur significant additional costs, which is disappointing considering the numerous positive reviews Dr. Avetoom has received. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of those expectations, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to others seeking dental care.
