Reviews:
Not sure how this place has such great reviews. Just moved to Florida and wanted to get into a dentist about my wisdom teeth. Found this place and made an appointment based on having such high reviews. They verified that they DO ACCEPT MY INSURANCE. I come in for my appointment and handed off my insurance card and license. The lady at the front desk checks me in so I’m thinking everything is good to go. I get taken back and have X-rays done. Nothing is said about my insurance. The DR comes in, does an exam and tells me they have to refer me somewhere else for my wisdom teeth. I guess they can’t do anything about that there. She then tells me about multiple cavities and a few other things I should have done. She seemed really nice until I asked her if it was weird that I had no pain anywhere with multiple cavities. I had a cleaning earlier this year and I was fine so it seems like a normal question to me. I am not a confrontational person at all so I’m confident I was nice and polite in how I asked. Her demeanor instantly changed and she seemed to take it as I was saying she was wrong. She didn’t become rude but the atmosphere was definitely off, enough that I didn’t feel comfortable with anything she was telling me. She then says she’ll put together a plan for getting everything taken care of. Her assistant comes back and starts going over the prices. After she’s done she says “This is without insurance because we don’t accept yours “. I asked her why they told me they did and why no one has said until now after doing an exam and X-rays. Obviously that all comes with a cost. Her response was ” I’m not sure where the break down in communication happened”. Clearly I want to use my insurance so the entire 2 hours was a huge waste of everyone’s time. I then ask if they are really expecting me to pay for the visit and everything they did (X-rays, exam etc..). At the end of it the manager said I didn’t have to pay and printed me a receipt showing a 0 balance. They were going to charge me $300! It’s sooooo hard to find a good dentist. I was so excited about this one too! They have such awesome reviews
Going to a dentist is nobody’s idea of the perfect dream, but that is not the case at Dr. Cook’s office. At age 66, I was fortunate to avoid having to visit dentists’ office for decades. However, recently I have had to visit my dentist to deal with the decades of wear and tear on my teeth. The dentists are dedicated, caring, detailed and patient. The staff has the rate as the very best group I have ever encountered in my life. They know your name, they are always so friendly (and sincerely), and they go the distance to insure you are taken care of. One last thing I notice about Dr. Cook’s office is that you don’t have to sit and wait hours and hours as is the case in most any medical appointment at any other location. They run a smooth, professional operation.
Coming from a dental background of 35 years, I know dentistry and dental offices. What can I say? This office from A-Z, admin to clinical is amazing. Dr. Elizabeth Bacha and team are absolutely wonderful!! I had to have all my old silver fillings removed and replaced with composite white fillings, two porcelain crowns and a cleaning. The dental care I received is five star top notch. I couldn’t ask for better or be happier. Since becoming a new patient in January, I’ve already referred someone to the practice and will continue to do so.
A very happy patient,
Sandra K. Brazill
