Reviews:
Perhaps the simplest and most important thing I can say is that over the past 15 years, I have lived in four states and two countries and unless there’s an emergency, I fly back to Utah to see Dr. Johansen for my dental care. Having a good dental team that you can trust and that communicates transparently and well is very important to longterm oral health.

I first met Dr. Johansen when a different dentist kept telling me I had no problems, but I knew something was terribly wrong. This was about 17 years ago. Dr. Johansen took one look in my mouth and found that I had a cavity that was so bad I now needed a root canal. He also noticed that my teeth looked off and asked if I was prone to headaches. I wondered how he could possibly know that and we talked about teeth grinding, which is something no one had ever talked to me about before. He made me an NTI and within weeks my headaches started to subside. My jaw also used to pop terribly and between the NTI and help from a chiropractor that has not happened in over 15 years.

I also have to share that I don’t do well with needles and Dr. Johansen is amazing with patients who have fears like this. He has a special way of inserting a needle to numb the mouth that honestly, you don’t even feel. The pinching he does with his fingers is more noticeable than the needle. And I really appreciate that. I also grew up afraid of the dentist and that makes the smell of the office get my blood up.

But I have to say that my experience with Dr. Johansen and his team is always wonderful and I look forward to going to the dentist because I know they will take excellent care of my mouth and that I don’t have to worry about anything. It’s always easy and pain-free and I feel good about my smile when I leave.

My experience with Dr. Johansen and the staff there was amazing! They were able to turn a traumatic experience I had with my teeth into a very comfortable experience! I felt very safe a reassured. After a bad skating accident I thought my front teeth would be ugly and ruined forever, however thanks to Dr. Johansen not only are my teeth healthy but they look great! No one ever notices the work that’s been done on them! Not to mention he was the first dentist to respond to my emergency at 12:30am! He worked singlehanded on my teeth until past 2:30am and still did an amazing job! A million thank you’s to Stephen and his staff!
I’ve been going to Dr. Johansen since I was a kid, and I’m so glad he accepts my employer’s insurance now that I’m an adult.

Because my roots weren’t set he was able to remove my wisdom teeth in-office and it was a breeze.

I also had the unfortunate incident of chipping a front tooth, and Dr. Johansen fixed it perfectly; you can’t even tell!

He’s never performed unnecessary work just to make a dime off my family, in fact he’s advised against work that other dentists tried to push.

Very trustworthy and dependable.
