Reviews:
I have been a patient at the practice for about 3 years. Dr.Dunlap placed a crown 3 years ago that fell out. I went into the office to have the tooth what I thought only needed to be re-cemented along with a routine teeth cleaning. I had no idea I was going to need to pay oop since I knew my cleaning was covered at 100%. Checking out, Cheryl said to me “that will be $167”. Again, I had no plans on paying out of pocket. I told her I didn’t have it and asked if she could bill me. She said no. We went back and forth and she finally asked when could I pay. I said Friday, this was a Tuesday. She told me I had to leave a card number there on file and she will be running the payment Friday morning. I’ve never heard of not being billed especially when not made aware of the fee prior to the appt. I left the office thought about it & said I need to find another dentist. I could’ve been billed for the services but Dunlap’s office decided not to. I had an appt in Dec where I went in knowing I had to pay $250 something for a crown & it was paid at the end of my appt. I called back to the office once I calmed down, and told Cheryl to process the payment today & I’d like my dental records. I will also make a complaint to my insurance company. My thoughts are the claim should have been submitted to insurance first, then a bill to the patient.
They’ll threaten to charge you $50 for not confirming your appointment or a no show, but they will cancel your appointment (due to their own error) 30 minutes prior to the appointment that you made 4 months ago with no type of reparation. Their solution: be on call for them as if you’re not a working human being or come back in another 4 months. Just don’t waste your time because it is not respected here.
Finally found an excellent dentist who is not just looking to do work on your teeth that is not necessary just to get paid more. Dr. John Dunlap and his team are excellent. He diagnosis properly, gives options of care, treats patient well, There is not one time that I ever experienced that was not a good one. Even when I got sent to an Endodontist! Honestly. I would recommend Dr.Dunlap to everyone!!!
