I was referred to Dr Steffensen by my family dentist because I had eight teeth that had to be extracted due to extensive cavities and infection and most importantly my own negligence. Medicare does not have dental insurance and I avoided dental care for years. I took the referral on faith due to my trust in my primary dentist and I’m glad I did. The entire staff works together to provide preparation for the procedure, support during and after the day of. I was lightly and appropriately sedated and experienced very little discomfort during the procedure. I ‘woke’ a couple of times and was immediately adjusted to avoid any immediate pain. The office staff was on top of everything from the preparatory visit to the afternoon after call. The prescriptions were handled by Nancy ahead of time and Dr Steffensen asked beforehand to make sure I had the antibiotics and light pain meds on hand. They asked me to have a ride so I would be safe going home. It was over in a little over an hour and the bleeding settled down after a couple of hours and was gone by the next morning. I have very little pain and no bruises. Amazing service and high quality skills from Dr Steffensen oral surgeon.
In case you wonder, family dentists don’t do any root canals or extractions anymore. Dr Steffensen is highly skilled with a great support staff.

Doctor Stephensen, Is not only a wonderful Dentist he is also a really wonderful person. He is very compassionate and takes time to explain your procedures. He makes sure that you have the appropriate medications after your procedures and the office follows up with a phone call to your home to check on you. He only performs oral Surgery, and he is the best at what he does. His office staff are wonderful their efficient and very kind. Dr. took my daughters wisdom teeth out and she never forgot how kind and gentle he was to her. I am a wimp when it comes to going to a dentist, but he made me comfortable and I will only go to him from now on.

I had a tooth pulled here about a year ago. The procedure was fine and they were nice . I went to another oral surgeon for a consultation to get an implant and I don’t have enough bone. When my tooth was pulled the dentist put in a bone graft which apparently was not sufficient. I’m not sure if this dentist does implants but if you’re planning to get an implant after your tooth is pulled I’d go somewhere else.
