Reviews:
I visited Dr. Tyler Lasseign last year hoping to get help with some TMJ problems that cause severe pain and difficulty eating. He did not perform a dental exam, or even look inside my mouth, but instead talked to me for a few minutes and then told me to have an MRI done. He gave me a written order for the MRI. When I checking out I was shocked that I had to pay $140, and was told they will not file a claim with my insurance company, (which on the phone prior to visit I was led to believe they would.) And yet, on my discharge sheet the doctor’s notes claimed that he had performed a “Dental Consult.” If he actually had performed a DENTAL consult, then he should have filed that with my insurance company, so that my insurance company would accept it. I have spoken to them (including Dr Lasseign) on the phone multiple times since then, and have been told each time that they do file insurance claims for their patients. And yet they did not do so for me. Furthermore, my insurance company would not approve an MRI because their office refused to provide a “code” which is required by my insurance before they approve an MRI. The Dr. ordered an MRI, yet refused to obtain approval from my insurance company. So basically I visited Dr Lassaign, paid $140, and received no benefit whatsoever from that visit. I have asked for a refund (at least minus what I should have paid as a co-pay.) Dr. Lasseign even phoned me and talked to me at length saying he “cannot” refund any amount. His reasoning was that for “ONLY” $140 I received a “diagnosis!” However, I was diagnosed with TMJ disorder more than 30 years ago! I did NOT go to him for a “diagnosis.” Furthermore, on my discharge paper, there was no mention of TMJ. It claimed I had seen him for a “dental consult.” I do believe that with a “dental consult” a doctor should at LEAST look inside your mouth! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.
Do not go there !!!
Pulled out all my bad teeth as I needed…..and then the good ones.
He said, and I quote: It will be easier this way. And I believed him because he’s supposed to have the patients best interest in mind.
He gave me dentures that never fit.
I didn’t leave my house for the longest time because I felt so uncomfortable.
And by uncomfortable I mean having to use a ridiculous amount of adhesive.
He is absolutely horrible.
He couldn’t stop chugging Red Bull and was all over the place every time.
My daughter went there to get a root canal, and after he had numbed the area needed, he disappeared for at least 30-40 minutes.
The numbing started wearing off in the middle of the process.
She has a big problem going to dentists now because of the pain he caused.
Oh…. And she had to get it redone last year because, and in the words of our current dentist –
” wow, what happened here ? ”
DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST !!!!
Also, consider the fact that there’s only one star and five star ratings. Nothing in between.
I’d listen to the 1 star reviews
Not the 5 star bought ones…….
I found Dr. Lasseigne through my insurance’s network. I’ve had a few visits to his office to have a dental implant corrected (done my another dental specialist). I must say he’s a very knowledgeable medical professional. He took time to explain the approach needed to remedy my issue. I feel like a valued customer during each visit and his staff is absolutely the best (shout out to Mrs. Christy, Mrs. Candy and Linda Linda). This business provides A+ service and I hope all goes well with my journey.
