Reviews:
EDITED: I was able to go back into the office a few days after my yellow filling and talked to the doctor about some changes I suggested with the operations side of things in the office. The doctor was extremely helpful and listened to my frustrations. I felt seen and heard, and this greatly impacts my rating of the office! Again, no issues with anyone working there, just the operations side of things could be cleaned up a bit!

ORIGINAL: I enjoy the people in the office, so I won’t give a 1 star review, but I haven’t been happy with my services and wait times the last year I’ve been in the office (I’ve been in at least 5 times in the last year). Multiple times, at least 2, I’ve waited at least 45 minutes in the waiting room past my appointment time without anyone updating me on what was going on. I recently got a filling on the outside of my tooth and the dental assistant didn’t ask me to approve the color, and now my tooth (and it’s 2 teeth away from my front tooth, so it’s noticeable when I talk or smile) is yellow. When I called the same day as my appointment to get this fixed, they didn’t have an opening in their schedule for almost 2 weeks. At the same appointment, the dentist and dental hygienist did not get along and were almost arguing during my appointment, causing the dentist to move her tool and slice the side of my cheek open. I had them also put in the teeth for my teeth implants, and I had severe issues with the tooth coming loose after installation as well as insufficiently making sure the tooth didn’t interfere with my bite causing more issues, then I was sent a bill to cover a part from the implant fix that wasn’t even used but they wanted me to pay for anyway. I truly hope the office can get things in order because, again, I do love the people in the office and have had good service (except for this last time with the discoloration of my tooth and not being asked for my opinion on the color) but their systems seem to be very disorganized and chaotic.

I recently decided to part ways with this dental office because I think they’re dishonest. I have always been diligent about my dental care, maintaining regular cleanings and trusting my previous dentists, their care, and their recommendations. In 2022, I noticed I was paying more out of pocket for cleanings with this dental office –a new experience since I have excellent dental insurance and had very low co-pays of $2 – $12 per visit. There were constant problems with billing insurance (issues I never had before, even with out-of-network dental offices), and I received bills of $400 – $600 for dental cleanings in one year! I couldn’t understand what was happening. So, I requested an itemized list of the services and charges. That’s when I learned I was being treated for periodontal disease, which I don’t have. I asked why am I being treated for something I never had. The answer I got is that my previous dentist did a deep clean (one time) before I moved and had to find a new dentist in Eugene. Really?! The cost for cleanings for periodontal disease is significantly more expensive, about double, at least according to what I was being charged. I was then told I needed a crown, which would have been ~$800 – $1000 out of pocket. Well, I decided to move on from this dentist and went to a new dentist, and guess what? No evidence of periodontal disease and no need for a new crown! They are dishonest and, frankly, should be reported to the Oregon Board of Dentistry, which I am seriously considering. Do not trust these people … they will take advantage of you.
