The facility is brand new and VERY nice. I love the hygienist there. Carmen is super sweet and thorough. However, There is always an issue with the dentists at this place.

They cancel your appointments day of or a few days before way too often. They can’t keep a dentist there and are always changing. I’d like to see the same person and build some trust with them. They forgot my son was sitting in a room waiting for the dentist for almost 45 minutes until my husband finally went and asked what was taking so long on his very first visit there. His second appointment was today and when we get there they make me sign a form saying he can be treated but the dentist isn’t there today, she/he is out sick …..but they don’t call me ahead of time and ask me to reschedule or ask if I would mind waiting a few minutes longer for the 2nd dentist to check him out. It’s just annoying that most appointments have some kind of issue.

Today was my 3rd visit to Family Dental of Bel Air since becoming a “new” patient about a year and a half ago. I cannot say enough nice things about this practice, from the front desk staff, to the hygienists and the dentists themselves. But today I had Carmen as a hygienist for the first time and she was top tier. Legitimately the best teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. I hardly look forward to going to the dentist and worry about post-cleaning pain, but Carmen was very gentle! Not only that, but she was extremely personable and you can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients. I honestly don’t think I’ve been more comfortable during a dentist visit before. I look forward to my next visit! 10/10 recommend!

It was my first time visiting this dental office. I was welcomed with courteous and friendly staff. The whole process from beginning till the end of my visit was thoroughly explained to me. They are also proactive with scheduling your cleaning ahead of time where you don’t have to wait for over a year to get it done! Such a great visit and I have shared my experience with friends and family who are now switching to Family Dental of Bel Air!
