Reviews:
I’ve been taking my family to First Impressions Dental Care in Issaquah for more than 20 years. For the past 10 years, I’ve driven from West Seattle to be sure I get the best dental care possible. Dr. Ron Sherman and his staff don’t just talk, they WALK the talk! Superb dental care, kind, empathetic, and cheerful staff. And, they bend over backwards to make good dental care possible for everyone.

Recently, my 94 year old father in law moved to West Seattle. Naturally, I took him to First Impressions Dental Care Issaquah. There was so much work to be done! But, rather than ignore it all, as many dentists had done since my father in law turned about 80, because it is assumed that the patient will die shortly, thereby negating the need to repair anything that does not hurt, Dr. Sherman assessed my father in law’s general health, including mental acuity, and provided a plan to clean up massive infections that caused recurring pain problems. It was affordable, well scheduled, and managed on every level with great care.

Today, my father in law no longer uses even a cane, let alone a walker. He enjoys meals and good discussions with family and friends. He is sharper, stronger, and happier. The last joy in life is a good meal, shared in comfort with good friends and family. Dr. Sherman’s deeper assessment has given my father in law months and maybe years of joy, comfort and strength. Without the ongoing infections and troubles, his heart is stronger and his days are wonderful. Do NOT discount the affect of dental issues on your parents (or your own) strength and longevity.

Dr. Sherman and the entire staff at First Impressions Dental Care Issaquah have made this 94 year old’s last years wonderful. His entire family thanks you, all!

I was impressed at first as I lost a filling and they were able to get me in the day after I called. I had to find a new dentist as my insurance changed so I couldn’t go to my normal dentist.

I’m in the chair and while waiting on the tech to get the numbing medicine the dentist made a comment about pain and asked me how many kids I’ve had. I said nine and so he told me that I don’t know what pain is then. I brushed that comment off.

While waiting for my mouth to get numb another employee was walking by and the dentist stopped him and proceeded to have an unprofessional conversation about a sign in the kitchen about how your mother doesn’t work there and that he asked one of the ladies up front to adopt him and then to do the dishes.

Then he started in my mouth and the tech pulled up a chair and he made a comment to her about her getting a chair. She said back to him that he had one and he said that women are supposed to stand and she laughed it off. I’m sitting there in shock but with a drill in my mouth.

A few minutes later, and I don’t know where it came from, he made a comment to the tech about how Asian’s are supposed to walk 4 steps behind the guy. I couldn’t believe it and with his hands in my mouth said “no”.

I didn’t feel like I could confront this guy as he was working in my mouth and I didn’t need it to be done improperly. I am shocked at the unprofessionalism that I witnessed by this dentist and will not return.

I was a patient at this clinic couple of years ago but I was unhappy with how I was treated so I left.

I decided to give them a try and see if there are changes. And yes, I am glad I did come back. I chipped a tooth so I called to get an appointment. The guy I talked to was very nice and was able to get me a Sunday appointment. They set me up for X-ray, cleaning and to fix the tooth. The dental hygienist was very nice and informative. I can feel that she cares for her patients. Here comes the X-ray, i have small mouth and x-rays are no fun for me, but the assistant made it easy and simple. To the fun part, wisdom tooth extraction. The dentist, Dr. Go gave me the assurance. It was a breeze. I was done in less than 20 minutes. I will continue going to this clinic.
