First off – Im forced to give the one star in order to provide a review. If I could give a review with zero stars, I would’ve done exactly that. Secondly- my gut told me not to trust any doctor’s office located in a strip mall but a friend of mine (with beautiful PERFECT teeth) recommended him. My friend ONLY had to use him for teeth cleaning. If you must use him and you need anything beyond a cleaning – RUN. AWAY. To start, his office confirmed my insurance was accepted & within network – it wasn’t. I accept some responsibility with this because I made the mistake of believing them and not verifying it for myself, but I was in such pain, I was at the mercy of whomever’s doorstep I was on.
He did a root canal+crown. It was beyond a nightmare and painful experience. He does not provide any pain medication(s) via a prescription. He tells you to take OTC Tylenol or Advil. Every month after the nightmare his office was calling to schedule cleaning appointments but I knew Id never step foot in his office. I eventually told the girl not to call me again. The office did and I had to block their number. Fast forward 5 years later, the crown came out last week. There was absolutely ZERO chance I would go back to his office again to repair the botched job he did – even if it would’ve been free. Little did I know, going to a different dentist, it was way worse that a crown coming off. The post that Wade put in broke. (See photo) I had to have oral surgery to remove the roots and the other half of the post still in my jaw. That procedure was way more pleasant versus the installation Alexander Gardner Wade did. And FYI – I was provided a prescription for an appropriate type of pain medication for afterwards. From here I will most likely have to get an implant in the next several months. Take your teeth and wallet elsewhere!
A pretty damn nice dentist office. The service is friendly and you’re serviced in a timely manner. With insurance, wisdom tooth removal is $200 each no matter the location. Without; it’s $350. You’ll also have to pay either a $50 or $100 deductible. My old dentist (Brush Dental) asked for $1500 altogether, yet they did a poor job fixing my other teeth. Gardner Wade LLC fixed their mistakes without extra cost and the travel hygienist who helped was such a nice lady. I never had my teeth so throughly cleaned before..low pain, if not pain free, at that! As a young adult, I’m so grateful that I was able to get throughly serviced at a good price. The only con is that I wish they’d give out syringes to those who just had their wisdom tooth pulled. I was told it’s fine but I hate when food gets lodged into the extraction sites. To me, the syringe helps to keep it clear of food scraps to promote healing and lower the risk of infection. Otherwise…y’all are damn great. P.S. they did give me a syringe after I had asked for one! I just would like it to be the standard .
I never write reviews but this one is warranted. I drove to Baton Rouge from Lafayette in the pouring rain with extreme pain because I could not find a dentist open on a Saturday, until I found Dr. Wade. No one was open in my area and I was in enough pain that I was desperate. Even though I called prior to make sure they took walk ins, I really expected to be turned away because I arrived at 3pm on a holiday weekend. Not only was I seen and treated, I never not once felt like I was bothering them- the staff, nurses & doctor all treated me with kindness and compassion. This has not been my past experience with other dentists. Dr. Wade is going to be my go to dentist, worth the drive !
