I hadn’t been to the dentist in many years (yes, I know, very bad) and was not sure what to expect going into my first appointment at Gelinas, but it certainly wasn’t to actively enjoy myself?! Dare say I had fun at the dentist?

The general vibe and decor (such fun artwork!) make you feel more like you’re at a spa (or a high end therapist’s office lol) rather than in a medical practitioner’s waiting room, and things only went up from that initial impression. All the member of the staff who took care of me today- Jasmine who did my x-rays, Keri who did my cleaning, and ‘Dr.J’ who did my oral exam- were absolutely delightful and made me feel super comfortable! Dr. J also addressed my needle phobia in a way that made me feel far less anxiety about future dental work, which is no small feat for someone with my level of irrational anxieties, and it was much appreciated.

From the research I did online their pricing structure also seems just a tad above the ‘standard’ and was more than warranted with the level and quality of care. They took care of billing my insurance company directly as well which made things easy peasy. I believe they do also offer reduced rates if you don’t have any form of insurance coverage.

Can’t recommend Gelinas enough!

I had my first visit with Gelinas this morning and I loved the atmosphere from the moment I walked in. The office and the people are warm and inviting; I saw a lot of happy kids which is always a good sign. I appreciated that everyone was both efficient and patient, which is a hard combination. Other dental studios I’ve been to always seem to be rushing to the next appointment.

The staff are fantastic; the 3 people I worked with were all friendly, very competent and explained things in detail. Dr. J was very thorough, both for the exam and his explanations. They suggested a couple of options for things we could do but left everything in my hands. I loved that they pointed out a couple of incipient caries and explained how I could work on those with home care rather than pushing for treatment.

My wife sees, and raves about, Dr Gelinas so either dentist is a win here.

New to the city, I needed to find a dentist in Toronto quickly for a situation I am having with my mouth. A friend recommended Genlinas and within 24 hours I had an appointment for a consultation and a cleaning. Not only is this the most beautiful, serene and welcoming clinic I have ever been to, but all of the technicians and the dentist were above and beyond amazing. I felt like I was visiting a friend’s house! They left no stone unturned, explained everything and made me feel like I was in the best hands possible. I never thought I would look forward to going back to the dentist, but now I am!
