Aesthetically, the place is beautiful and welcoming but my overall experiences have been less than stellar. To start, my first time there I asked if they took my specific insurance. They confirmed they did but after my appointment they said, “oh, you need to pay us directly and your insurance is to reimburse you”. At the moment I wasn’t going to argue so I paid, moved on, and called my insurance to figure that out. My insurance explained that wasn’t the case, and it was GW’s preference. They ended up getting that squared away and now directly get payment from my insurance after about 2/3 weeks of phone tag to get refunded.

Further, I had an appointment for last week that I called to reschedule (technically it was 2 appointments booked for the same day and time). I called and explained I needed to reschedule my appointments to the following Monday as I wasn’t going to make the original day and time… they only reschedule one, and I was smacked with a late/no notice fee for the other.

When I called they said “oh we only rescheduled one but as a courtesy I can waive the no show fee”. There shouldn’t have been a fee in the first place.

The receptionist was rude and didn’t really care to be friendly or helpful. When I asked when the next appointment available was for my treatment she rudely said “mid July”. At that point I chose to cancel all appointments due to their unprofessionalism.

Not a single apology was rendered for incorrectly rescheduling my services just an “okay” when I asked to cancel. Tbh, they really don’t care, they just want their money.

I called for a routine cleaning and exam. I was given a ridiculous process of how this will go. Regarding their website statement “And while our setting may be upscale, our prices are approachable because we know that taking care of your teeth shouldn’t break the bank.” However, the process certainly does not fit that statement. I was told the first visit would consist of an exam and X-rays. Then on the next visit is my routine cleaning but is for only “HALF of my teeth” and they will schedule another apt. (3rd) to clean the other half of my teeth. The female tried telling me this is due to the insurance. She never took my insurance information and NO this is not how all insurances work. When I called her out on that she changed her story and said “Well that’s how we do it here.” With the attitude and shadiness of their process, that was enough said for me to decline going forward.

We have been with Great White for about a year. We were sad to leave our last dentist, but they no longer accepted my insurance. I was so worried I wouldn’t find anywhere like them. I knew I didn’t want to go with a chain dentistry office, and I’m so glad I didn’t and found Great White Dental. They have exceeded my expectations!! Everyone has been so polite and friendly. The office is clean and comfortable and offers refreshment (definitely a plus with my boys). Both dentists are very thorough with explaining what needs to be done and very patient when it came to my boys. The evening hours are a plus with me since I don’t have to take much time off of work or my boys needing to miss school. I definitely will continue to recommend them to family and friends!
