Reviews:
I highly recommend Dr. Robinson. He is a great dentist.

When I first moved to New Jersey, I had no idea how to find a good dentist. I ended up going to Great Expressions because of their reviews online and they accepted my insurance. I had always had good teeth and had recently had braces removed. Those reviews were probably for discounts for their overpriced services. Over the course of three years, this office scammed me out of so much money for problems I never have had before and turns out I did not have. I thank Dr. Robinson for helping me to realize that.

Since my first visit at Dr. Robinson’s office, he has always been honest about my oral hygiene. His cleanings are gentle. He is kind and friendly when discussing my oral care and, despite just two visits a year, always remembers me. He has great stories, too.

Dr. Robinson let me know that I didn’t have any gum disease (as I had been told) and that I actually just brush my teeth too hard. An electric tooth brush can fix that. I have been at this office for over four years now, my teeth are healthy and doing well.

In terms of cost, my dental insurance through Cigna does not have copays for my cleanings every six months. I never had to pay anything out of pocket but have not had anything done not fully covered by insurance.

I recommend Dr. Robinson if you want a comfortable experience in a hospitable office. His office also sends out text reminders. He also still gives out samples after the visit, too.

There is street parking and a public parking lot nearby. It is very close to the Elizabeth train station. The office is inside a house looking building and there are few steps to get to the front door.

I gave one star because it’s required. My family have been going to this doctor fir years. However I noticed over time his demeanor has changed. A few months ago I took my youngest but decided to go with another dentist since he needs braces. Last week I called for my oldest he was in such pain it was definitely a emergency the doctor wouldn’t see him at all. When I called the office a new office person got on the phone and begin to yell and told me take him to another dentist they couldn’t see him and because I decided to go with another dentist few months ago to go thereNot letting me speak she had the wrong patient and then hung up. I believe the dentist told her that because I don’t know her. The doctor was unprofessional and what that office did was unethical. My son did find a dentist for a emergency visit and has a infection and need a specialist now why did Dr. Robinson couldn’t do this for a patient that was over 20 years?. I will be reporting him and his office to the board of dentistry ASAP. Don’t go to him!!!!! So sad I had to do this well if he don’t care why should I!!! I think he has a personal problem with me and refused to service others in my family and is that ethical being a doctor?
One star because it is required. Had a horrible experience!!
Office charged me for the exam and X-rays ($104.00) when it’s fully covered with my insurance. Not convinced my insurance was even called before arriving.
FYI: X-rays and cleaning are usually done on the same initial visit, was informed that they do it separately after I was seated in the chair (I stated what I wanted when making the appointment, could’ve been told then and saved so much time and energy). For what reason? I have a pretty good idea but wont make any accusations. Staff kept insisting that I owed some kind of money even after the claim processed, with no pt. responsibility, and issuing my refund. Office staff and dentist were very RUDE!! When I requested my dental records to see another provider, they TRIED CHARGING ME A 65.00 FEE!!!! That’s the cost my insurance pays when billed. I refused to give that office any money because I feel they are just trying to get over and I would rather pay elsewhere. I would NOT recommend this office AT ALL. Please call your insurance, know your benefits and what might be owed before going to any provider. Save yourself the headache.
