Reviews:
One of the first things that stood out to me was that he explained what he was going to do before he did it, and showed me pictures of what was wrong. I’ve always just kind of trusted healthcare professionals without knowing what they were going to do, but I really appreciate him sharing that knowledge with me.
I was getting cavities filled and I’m always pretty nervous around needles. Expecting the numbing to be painful, as it always had been for me with other dentists, I explained my anxiety to Dr Lopez and the things I do to make it easier. It didn’t matter, since it was the easiest numbing I’ve ever had done. Normally there’s at least a little pain, but I felt absolutely nothing.
During the procedure, he always checked to make sure I was doing okay. The attention to detail also really impressed me. Where other dentists have taken a single pass at a tooth and called it a day, Dr Lopez went over it multiple times with multiple tools to make sure it was right.
After getting the cavities filled, he again explained to me what he did. It’s a little detail, but still something that I really appreciate.
And of course, all of the dental assistants, hygienists, and staff are friendly and helpful too. I have trouble flossing with braces in, and one of the hygienists recommended a tool similar to what I used before braces, and it turned out to be exactly what I needed (it’s called a platypus flosser).
I’m currently only seeing him temporarily while I get my orthodontics done next door, but I’m seriously considering staying after that.
