Reviews:
During the appointment, the dentist did my check up and most of my cleaning which was fine. The dentist began to ask me about one of my teeth. He asked what symptoms I get on the tooth and after that he will tell me why. I am not experiencing any symptoms on that tooth so I proceeded to tell him nothing. He then proceeded to take a photo of the tooth in question and say this is not a typical case. He then said that he will come up with a treatment plan for it after he explained his findings. I said okay.
During the MIDDLE of my cleaning they started to do a financial. I was so irritated because they also did this on my first visit as well. I thought maybe because it is my first time there, they wanted to make sure that I have all the information, but why on this second visit they didn’t wait till the end I don’t understand. The hygienist had just began polishing my teeth and stopped in the middle of it. I still had tooth polish on my teeth when I was listening to this financial. During the financial, they told me they can do the procedure right now. They said it could either be a cavity filling or it would be a full root canal. I was not prepared to spend that much money or time in order to have any kind of big procedure done today. I kindly said I will think about it and then they proceeded to ask if I wanted a print out. I said sure.
I don’t understand why my cleanings have been interrupted in the middle twice now in order to sell me more care. I don’t understand why a scare tactic was used on me in order to scare me into doing a procedure. The whole thing just seemed like a sales pitch. While I do understand that the dentists are here to tell me what can help improve my dental health, I don’t understand why it has to be in the middle of the cleaning instead of waiting until the end at check out.
