I have been going here for around 2 years and seeing Dr Shipway without an issue, he is good. Recently I saw a new dentist there, she was adamant that I needed a crown within 6 months (I am only in my early 30s!) and a replacement filling which was urgent. The cost quoted was around $1900 for the crown. I am angry as the dentist did not even take a current X-ray before she determined that a crown was needed, nor do I have any pain or sensitivity and basically she was scaring me into agreeing to it. I sought a second opinion elsewhere, who immediately took an X ray and concluded I don’t need a crown for probably another 15-20 years! I could have lost a tooth because of this dentist! I don’t need to replace the filling within weeks either, more like years. I am leaving a one star review due to this incident and I will not return to Maven Dental Morley as all trust has been lost.
Excellent service.. couldn’t ask for better. Dentist Daniel was very professional as were his dental nurse and my hygienist.
I was however pretty disappointed that I booked in to get a filling done but they couldn’t manage two.. to be honest it felt like being a Saturday they wanted to have an early day.
I also wasn’t too impressed with the $600+ bill for 1 filling and a clean… It definitely seemed a bit steep for a total of 100 mins of work.. I was expecting about $300 to $500 so I guess it is what it is..
That said, if you are going to pay for dental work in Australia I would say this is the best dentist in WA..
After moving to Perth over 12yrs and quite a few suburbs, I’ve been trying to hunt down a good Dentist and found Maven Morley. They are professional, well organised, have a great system for both hygienist and dentist alike. Can be costly if you don’t have private health insurance (but which dentist isn’t), the team are very thorough and keep a good record. Always nice service from the team up front! Glad I found Maven Morley.
